Rory's POV

I entered the detention room for where my shooter's at.

"Good Morning Sir" I said as I sat across with him in a lunch table from the cafeteria that we tranferred.

"Hey. Ms.Hudson." He said nervously. "Nah... It's alright sir. Don't be nervous. I don't bite" I said with a chuckle.

"I'm sorry for shooting you" He said. "Don't worry. I'm also sorry for my... people beating you up. I just ain't there to stop them." I said as I handed him a sandwich.

"Look, Sir. Why didn't you tell them?" I asked him. "It's dark y'know?" He said. "Right, that's why its called, The Dark Detention." The two of us chuckled.

"Today, sir. You're goin' to see the sunlight for the first time in your three days in the dark." I said as I helped hin stood up.

"Again. I am so sorry, Mr. Tailgates."

"You better shave sir. That's maybe the reason for why they didn't recognized you or maybe that's the cause for why they told me that you're unfamiliar." I said as I gave him a razor.

The first time when I enetered the detention room, I also didn't recognize him until I heard him say sorry. I felt happy and miserable at the same time 'cause Joshua and the others kicked his ass and I'm happy 'cause we found him.

"Woah... Now that's the Gates that we know. C'mon." I said with a smile and headed towards the cafeteria, the place where Joshua always wants to stay.

We entered the cafeteria and I saw The Hawkies. "Yo Hawkies, you all might want to say sorry to someone" I said and when they saw Sir Gates, I saw them all in shock with their mouths open. "Oh God... I...am...so sorry sir Gates." Joshua said in shock as he kneeled in front of Sir Tailgates. "I'm so sorry for telling you that you're a piece of crap." Hope said laughing but she tries to hide it. "I am a crap." Sir Gates said... Why do we apologize like all of these are just jokes... "I am very very very very very very sorry for smacking you and dragging you around places such as trees and stuff." Nicca said while laughing.

Carl's POV

Dad and I have been searching for a place for a very long time.

Dad is fine now. He ain't that black and blue before but the scars of being broken is still seen on him.

Dad and I hadn't eaten in days and we travelled through places.

Dad and I haven't been talking for so long. I am still broken down on things that happened, such as Judith being dead, Rory missing, no home, no safe place.

As days passed dad is changing. He ain't the dad that you know before, y'know? He ain't that very much father-type to me. Every Sunday, my dad is in day off, my mom used to cook pancakes that is just horrible, but the thing is, she knows that its horrible. Y'know like the flour and water ain't that mixed correctly. Those thoughts made me laugh a bit.

Today, me and my dad are in a police station. The gun room's been emptied but lucky us, we found two guns inside a cop's desk and cruiser. I saw my dad sat on one of the desk while I just sat in a corner trying to warm myself.

There's this one thing that I learned when you're in a middle of a zombie apocalypse, if you're looking for a safe place, there ain't such a thing. No one's safe, we're all just like dead people walking.

It's kinda strange 'cause sometimes, I see some apparitions or just some halucinations of some members of the prison group. The ones that I mostly see is Rory and Hershel. Strange huh? It's awkward though. Everytime that happens, I always think that I'm crazy. Everytime I see them, I just shrug myself off and continue on stuff that I'm doin'
