Eliza laid there on the ground completely frozen. Her eyes milky white. Her skin transparent. When I touched her she felt like ice.

“What happened?” I asked the girl crying next to Eliza.

“In the middle of the night she got out of bed. . . .she woke me up in the process. I followed her outside. . . .she was in a daze, I thought she was sleepwalking. She headed into the woods and she stopped. When I saw what she was looking at I saw that it was you and a man. She kept muttering something; I couldn’t understand it. Then she suddenly just fell over.” The girl had to keep stopping because she was crying so bad.

I nodded and went down to put Eliza in my arms.

“We have to take her to Chiron.” The girl nodded and tried to help me. A twig snapped behind me.

When I turned around I saw two faces. Two  familiar faces. The first one to stick out was Colton. Finn was beside him shaking his head. He suddenly ran towards me and squatted down.

“What happened!?” He yelled at me. The girl suddenly ran away and I gave Finn the eye. Colton walked over to us.

“The girl said Eliza followed me into the woods and then she fainted. We have to take her to Chiron.” I didn’t realize how shaky my voice was. Finn scooped Eliza into his arms and headed through the trees. Colton put out a hand and helped me up.

Colton still held my hand as we ran through the woods after Finn. It was amazing how fast he could run holding a hundred pound girl.

We ended up at the Big House with Finn screaming for Chiron at the top of his lungs. Chiron met us in the infirmary where Finn had set Eliza down on the bed. Chiron examined her as Finn started bouncing on his feet. He was worried and didn’t know what to do.

“Chiron?” I asked to get his attention. He nodded his head towards me as he kept looking at Eliza. “What’s wrong with her?”

“I don’t exactly know. I see nothing physically wrong. Something she saw must have paralyzed her. What happened again?”

“From what the girl in the woods told me Eliza followed me out there and when she saw me she fainted.”

“Why were you out in the woods?” I froze.

“Something woke me up, a whispering. I then just ran out into the woods and I found my da-… .er Poseidon out there. He told me that there was something that was stirring. That something horrid was moving over the world, mainly here.” Something dark passed over Chiron’s eyes. He knew what my dad was talking about.

“I will have to look into this. I suggest you three go back to your cabins.” Finn’s worry shot through the roof.

“I’m not leaving her.” He said through closed teeth. I have never seen Finn like this. Chiron nodded. I went to suggest that I stay too but Chiron shook his head.

“In the morning Percy will need to hear what Poseidon told you.” I nodded and followed Colton out the Big House.

As we headed back to the cabins I thought about what my dad had said. What was this evil that was stirring? Colton and Annabeth had told me about the Second Olympian War. Could it be possible that Kronos was already coming back? No, it couldn’t be. It had to be something else.

“She’ll be fine.” Colton told me as we passed the volleyball courts. I looked up to him with tears in my eyes.

“Do you really think so? I’ve never seen something like that.” My voice sounded like a frog. How attractive. He nodded.
