Julie sat on the cell, waiting.

<I thought he had ordered them to take me to his father?> She wondered.

It had been nearly an hour since she had been thrown there, and she was still waiting for them to come and look for her.

Not that she minded being left alone for once.

She still held her stomach, curled up in a ball against the one of the cell’s walls: that punch had really hurt her.

Julie couldn’t focus on one thought only: Vampires ruled over zombies? William was a prince? What were they going to do to her?

… Why had it affected her so much that William had shrugged off their story together?

Julie shook her head at this last thought: there was no way she was going to go through it all over again.

Still, it was a recurring thought, especially now that she had nothing else to think about.

Julie sighed, accepting defeat, and letting her memories take over…

Julie kept running through the city, as she was being chased by a bunch of angry werewolves.

This was an easy mission: she would only have to take them to one of the abandoned buildings, and lit it all on fire. She smiled at the thought.

She entered a random building, not fearing zombies because they must have been surely chased away by the werewolves’ sounds.

What she didn’t keep in mind was that vampires, on the other hand, used certain buildings as shelter during the day.

Unlucky her, the building she had chosen was where a vampire was hiding.

Julie grunted as she ran into something, or rather someone, in her way.

“You should look where you’re going, human.” She heard someone say.

She turned to look at the source of the voice: sure enough, she immediately saw the fangs on his face. A vampire.

“And you should get out of here before I lit this whole place in fire, blood sucker.” She answered him, all while taking out one of her silver stakes.

Julie suddenly heard growls behind her. She turned around to see the pack of werewolves that had followed her all the way there.

“Game over, hunter.” The alpha leader growled at her.

“She’s in my territory, mutt, back off.” The vampire hissed at the werewolf.

“We saw her first, vampire, YOU back off.” The werewolf growled at the vampire, not focusing on Julie anymore. Julie, knowing she was not experienced enough yet to take them all on, took this as her cue to leave quietly while the whole pack fought the vampire.

The only thing she could hear were grunts, howling and occasional swearing, but she ignored it all.

Just as she was about to leave the building safely, she felt a rush of wind pass by her.

“Now, onto you.” She heard the vampire say as he appeared in front of her, flashing his fangs.

Julie glared at him, and held onto her stake harder. Had he really killed all those werewolves without even breaking a sweat?

They both fought each other, none of them backing off.

Suddenly, Julie was on the ground, the vampire stepping on her stomach with his right foot and her stake on one of his hands.
