Just as training ended, and as Julie was sitting and drinking blood from a bottle, Richard approached her.
“You shouldn’t skip classes, you know?” He scolded her out of the blue.
Julie turned to look at him and said, “Yeah, well, it’s not like I don’t already know what they’re talking about… Besides, these lessons are about killing a vampire… It’s almost as if they’re mocking me!”
“Yeah, well, because you skipped class today, tomorrow’s training session won’t take place because of detention…” Richard told her while glaring a bit.
Julie groaned: she knew she was forgetting something important while skipping; every time someone skipped classes, they had to serve detention during training classes.
“Do you know what kind of detention I’ll have?” Julie asked her teacher.
“It will be something related to what you missed today, most probably, but I’m not sure.” Richard said as he walked out of the gym, dismissing her.
Julie banged her head against the wall a few times, scolding herself too, and then she got up and headed towards her room. Julie took a shower and then went to sleep.

Next day, just as Julie was getting out of her room, she encountered a guard who handed her a paper without uttering a word, and then he left.
“Detention paper… Ugh, History detention?!” Julie sighed as she put the paper away and walked to her classes.
It was just another uneventful day, except for the part when Julie tried to talk to both Nathan and Ellie and they walked away in a hurry, saying they were really busy and couldn’t talk to her.
“Weirdos.” Julie thought as she walked towards her detention. “At least they haven’t got the stupidest and most boring kind of detention there is…” She muttered to herself as she entered an empty classroom, where she encountered the teacher whose class she had skipped: Mr. Snyder. Larry for the folks.
“What a pleasant surprise, Miss Hamilton, I thought you would not charm me with your presence this time either…” Mr. Snyder said as she entered the room.
Julie suppressed her urge to roll her eyes at that comment. “Sorry for skipping your class last time, sir.”
“Apology accepted, but that won’t help the fact that today’s detention will still last 3 hours long, so let us begin.” Mr. Snyder started as he clapped his hands two times, and suddenly, they were surrounded by darkness.
Julie could only see him standing, while the rest of the room was black, and then she remembered that History classes were taken in an interactive room that could display events at the teachers will… It was like a 4D movie theater but way cooler.
It still didn’t help that History classes were normally a bore, especially with teachers like Mr. Snyder.
“So, where should we begin…?” Mr. Snyder wondered out loud.
“Maybe the beginning would be good…” Julie muttered, but her teacher caught what she said.
“That would be nice, wouldn’t it? But it would take several years to narrate, and we’ve only got a few hours, so let’s start by the reminders of <Why is it important to learn to defend ourselves against supernatural creatures?>” Mr. Snyder said as he snapped his fingers.
The room changed into what seemed like a 21st century modern city, though it was hard to tell which one it was, since they were situated in a large avenue, crowded with cars and people.
