Levi's POV

She just kissed me...I clamped my hand against my mouth, following her from behind. "M-Mikasa..." I stammered as she tilted her head back, "I hope I didn't make too much trouble for you." "It's fine," She replied in a pleasant tone before stopping to turn around and face me, "L-Listen...I have to tell you something." "Y-Yes?" "I'm sorry." "For what?" I asked. "I...", she stopped, "Nevermind." I immediately asked, "What are you sorry about?" "I..." She clutched her head in her hands, "I...shouldn't have...done that." My heart dropped. "What do you mean?" I demanded. Suddenly, she started to waver, her legs were growing weak. "Levi..." she gasped before dropping to the floor. "MIKASA!" I yelled as I rushed over by her side, "What's wrong?!" Her eyes fluttered once more, "In...the book..." Her eyes closed softly as I held her in my arms, "Wait! WAIT!" I pressed my ear to her chest. Mikasa's heart was still beating. I immediately called Farlan and Isabel.

"What happened?!" Isabel gasped. Even Farlan's eyes lost their color.

"I don't know..." I muttered, "But someone is behind this. Or something. Her last words said something about a book."

Isabel stared blankly into space, when suddenly her eyes snapped to attention, "Levi, I think I know what she means!" I looked up at her face shining brightly once more. She put a hand to her mouth, "I knew it was her!" She yelled before dashing off.

"W-Wait!" Farlan called after her, then turning back to me and the princess on the ground, "Let's go, Your Highness." He offered me a hand, but I refused, for I had a larger priority to carry. Slipping my hands underneath her slim figure, I carried Mikasa in my arms. "Now, let's go."

I rushed across the hallways, following close after Isabel and Farlan. There was still hope left, for she had not yet died. "Wake up, Mikasa." I whispered close to her, "Please wake up..." Her face had lost some of it's color, but it still was her as it shall always be. My heart lifted slightly as I felt her against me, then stared blankly ahead following close after.

Isabel, Farlan, and I stopped at the entrance to the Library. She pulled open the great doors, and immediately the scent of old books and parchment surrounded us. Isabel looked back at me with bright eyes, "We'll get her back!" I nodded with a confident expression, "Yes, we will." Slowly, we entered the chamber with hearts longing for the truth behind this girl who I so loved.
