"I should get going," I say, looking at the clock. I'm at his apartment and it's nearly midnight.
“One more hour?” He asks, pulling me closer into his chest.
“Niall it’s nearly midnight, I need to get home.”
“Please” He pouts.
“I really can’t stay.”
“Baby it's cold outside,” He sings.
“I’ve got to go away,” I go along with it.
“Baby it's cold outside,”
“This evening has been,”
“Been hoping that you'd drop in,”
“So very nice,” I sing.
“I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice.”
“My cat will start to worry,” I sing, laughing lightly.
“Beautiful, what's your hurry?”
“Sherlock will be pacing the floor.”
“Listen to the fireplace roar.” He sings. I look over at the fireplace to see it’s off.
“So really I'd better scurry,”
“Beautiful, please don't hurry.”
“Maybe just a half a drink more.” I sing into his chest. He is really warm and I honestly didn’t want to leave.
“Put some records on while I pour.” He kisses the top of my head.
“The neighbors might think…”
“Baby, it's bad out there.”
“Say, what's in this drink?”
“No cabs to be had out there.”
“I wish I knew how,” I sing, closing my eyes.
“Your eyes are like starlight now.”
