Charlie's P.O.V.
My coffee table was overflowing with a combination of papers from Nick's file and things I had printed out about Robert Hernandez. He had been a trouble maker his entire life and how Calista ended up with such a dead end is something I will never understand. The sun was rising and the city was waking up with a renewed energy that had faded during the night before. I stood up from the couch and walked to my bedroom. Quickly, I pulled out a fresh set of black clothes from my dresser and hurried off to the bathroom. All of this chaos was going to end today.

Unknown P.O.V.
I was in a good mood today, I walked into city hall and proceeded to my office, coffee in one hand and my laptop bag in the other. Today, I was writing e-mails to begin deciding who is next on my hit list and perhaps I would buy out some more cops. I don't know, we'll see where the day goes.
I felt my phone in my pocket begin to buzz and I had a feeling about who it was so I pulled it out and answered.
"Hernandez, my friend, what can I do for you?", I said, feeling a sort of relief that I was no longer dealing with children.
"I was informed that you had a job for me sir?", he asked.
"Yes, I do. How would you feel about capturing the vigilante for me?", I said.
This vigilante had to go, trouble was sure to come if he wasn't taken care of as soon as possible. The line had turned silent for a few moments and my high was slowly slipping from me.
"Hernandez?", I questioned.
"Are you sure sir? You saw what he did to Mr. Banning-", he said quietly but I quickly cut him off.
"Mr. Banning was a failed attempt at what you could become. You see Hernandez? You have your head screwed on right, you are mature. Mr. Banning was not, he was impulsive and look where that led him. Listen to me and you'll be fine.", I said, almost coaxingly. This was my plan B, it couldn't fail.
"Well alright, where do you suggest I start looking?", he asked.
"He seems to favor that girl Nicholas was following around, maybe start there. But first I have a list of people I need you to take care of. I'm sending it to you now.", I pulled the phone away from my ear and clicked send on a text message.
"Did you get it?", I asked.
"Yes..um Mayor Brinks sir?", he asked, that unsure, lost tone to his voice returned. I was beginning to despise his voice.
"Yes. Give him a choice, get out of the way or get ran over. And the others either comply or don't, I think you should know what to do with them, yes?", I asked.
"Yes sir. I'll begin today.", he answered.
"Very good. I'll be checking in later tonight to see how far you've gotten. Good-bye.", I said and I hung up the phone.
A knock sounded on my office door.
"Come in.", I said as I went back to working on my computer.
"Sir your meeting for the campaign run is in five minutes.", Deanna, my secretary said.
"Alright I'll be out in a moment."

Calista's P.O.V.
I heard the T.V. in the background as I began to wake up. This time when I woke up it was much more peaceful, there were no doctors or nurses bustling about and my brother was not yelling at me to wake up. Gently, I opened my eyes and my vision refocused because of the light.
"Hey, Cal.", I heard my brother say as he stood up from his chair and walked over to my bed.
I tried looking up at him but my neck protested. I tried to say something but my mouth wasn't cooperating. In fact, my whole body protested even the slight movement my chest made when I breathed.
"Shh, it's okay, just rest.", Brett said.
He looked like crap. I knew in my heart he didn't go home, he stayed the entire time. I looked down at my arms which were covered with wiring and tubing. I felt a tube on my face, it was probably helping me breathe. I reached out my hand to Brett and he took it. Charlie wasn't there and my heart fell a little. Charlie...he was the vigilante, I quickly pushed those thoughts away. I wanted to wait until he was here with me.
"Every one okay?", I grinded out, my voice didn't sound like it belonged to me.
"Yea, yea. Every one is fine. You scared me Calista Adaline.", He said and a small smile broke out on my face.
"Brett, when am I not scaring you?", I said teasingly. His eyes narrowed at me.
"Don't you ever do something like that to me again! I thought I was going to have a heart attack and I'm not even thirty yet!", He said, fake scolding me.
"You aren't? Could've fooled me with those bags under your eyes and the white in your hair.", I laughed but winced as my ribs were still banged up.
"Ha. Ha. Your so funny I forgot to laugh, now stop moving before you make something worse.", Brett said, a worried look had taken over his sour one.
"God, Brett, go home! Take a shower! Change your clothes.", I said while I cringed like a child. But, I wanted Brett to go home and take a break. He needed to sleep.
"Go home. I'll be okay, you need to go sleep and get cleaned up. I'll be fine.", I said softly, looking up at my tired brother.
"You'd better be, my heart can't anymore of this.", he said as he dramatically put his hand over his heart.
"Aye aye Captain.", I said, saluting him.
He rolled his eyes and walked out of my room.

Charlie's P.O.V.
I pulled on my baseball cap, though I really wished I had my motorcycle helmet. In front of me was Robert Hernandez's law firm. I was familiar with it because it was a law firm competing with the one I worked at. My brilliant plan was to stay here and stake it out.
The minute I saw him, my problems were solved. He was walking out of the building, probably towards his car. I turned the key in the ignition and my car started up. He ducked into his black car and started it. I counted to ten before pulling out and following him.
A taxi was in between our cars and my hands tightened on the steering wheel as I was becoming impatient. The cars had slowed to a stop at the intersection. I tried taking deep breaths because I couldn't lose control of myself, especially not in the middle of traffic. When the light turned green, I pushed down on the gas.
After about 20 minutes of stalking, Robert finally pulled over but something was off. We were in an abandoned neighborhood. It hit me that he knew I was following him, but I wasn't scared or nervous.
I wasn't the one who had something to be scared of.
