Chapter Twenty-Five

Tonight, I was returning to the ring. I haven't wrestled in almost a month or even trained.

As I'm walking inside, I see Finn. He looks at me for a moment before turning around and walking away. I see his elbow it wrapped up.

"Bayley!" Carmella yells and hugs me. "You didn't tell me you were coming back."

"The element of surprise." I say and she laughs.

We're walking to the locker room, as we're walking, I see Finn and Becky talking. He's laughing and smiling, as if he doesn't even care about what happened.

"You okay?" Carmella asks, noticing my staring.

I shrug, "I'm trying to be."

Becky laughs and hugs his arm. I can't stop regretting what I said. Carmella keeps walking and I stand there and they don't even notice me.

"Bayley!" Aaron says and walks over to me. "I haven't seen you in awhile."

"Hm." I hum, not wanting to talk to him.

He notices me staring at Finn and Bayley, "He left you?"

"Why are you talking to me?"

"I saw you were upset and I wanted to help?"

I turn to him, "Aaron, if you think I'm falling for your little trick again. You're sorely mistaken."

He laughs, "A friend can't help another friend?"

"We're not friends."

I turn back to Finn and Bayley.

"What happened between you two?"

"I messed up."

"So did I."

"What?"

He smiles at me, "I messed up our relationship."

"Leave me alone."

Sami Zayn walks over to us, "I'd listen to her."

Aaron scoffs, "You can't tell me what to do."

"Just leave Aaron." I say.

"Whatever." He walks away.

"Thanks." I say to Sami.

"How are you?" Sami asks.

"I'm fine."

He looks in the direction of where I'm staring and see them together.

"I thought he didn't want to be with her?" He asks.

"Well apparently he does and he's happy."

"What happened?"

"I don't know." I say, not wanting to talk about it.

He nods understanding I don't want to talk about it.

"What have you been up to?"

"Nothing really."

I notice Finn clutching his elbow, "What happened to him?"

Sami sighs, "His demon came out."

"What?"

"When Finn is upset he does things."

I turn to him, "What things?"

Sami looks at me sadly, "He hurts himself."

"He did that to himself?"

He nods and sadness washes over me, I did that to him. I made him hurt himself.

"You should talk to him." Sami says and looks over at Finn.

"He's happy without me." I whisper.

"He'll be happier with you."

"I don't believe that, Zayn."

He starts to walk away, "Well you're gonna need to find a way to."

Before he's gone, I yell, "How?"

He turns around to look at me while walking backwards, he gives me a thumbs up.

I turn around and run into Finn. He looks at me startled and I take a step back.

"Finn." I say quietly, but I know he heard me.

He shakes his head and walks past me, like he doesn't know me.
