I invited Rose and Emma over after uni and of course they said yes, they'd have came over anyway without me asking them to.
"Hey Hazel, can you drop me by the supermarket I have to get something" said Rose peeping her head out of the backseat.
"Sure" I replied instantly.
I stopped by the first supermarket I saw, "I'll be back in a minute" She said and hop out of the car.
"I'm really worried about Rose, the jerk Ed is cheating on her and I don't think I'm able to tell her, I don't know how she's gonna take it" I finally got the chance to talk to Emma about it
I found out that her boyfriend for two years Ed is cheating on her when I saw him kissing a girl the other day, and I'm still not able to tell her because I'm sure she'd be heartbroken.
"Listen Hazel, I know it's hard but I think we should tell her, she needs to know" said Emma .
"we should tell her now when we get back to your house okay ?" She said and I Just nodded freaking out from the inside and hoping the way back home would be some how longer, because that's not the type of news I like to give to someone specially my friend.
When we arrived dad was there, I finally got to see him, as I mentioned before, I often spend days without seeing him. I rushed and gave him a hug.
"Dad! I finally got to see this face of yours! where have you been all this time I missed you" I said hugging him.
"My one and only daughter! I've missed you too and you know why I'm busy ... the usual, anyway how've you been?" he said hugging me back.
"I'm great, I've just missed you that's all" 'the usual' that's what he always reply with, it's crazy how I sometimes forget he's a mafia gang leader. I shrugged it all off and went to my room with the girls.
"So what do you want to do guys? watch a movie? I've brought snacks!" Rose said with a smile on her face.
"umm well actually Rose we have something to tell you first but you gotta stay calm okay?" said Emma. Really though? Way to go Emma, 'stay calm'? Such a perfect way of telling someone that an awful thing had happened, I'm either giving her a medal or a slap to her face.
"what happened?" said Rose concerned. Well of course she'd be.
"It's just that I saw something I didn't really want to see" I said slowly. Well it's my turn now
"what did you see Hazel ??!" said Rose eyeing me ... more like glaring, her grey eyes piercing through my soul
"Umm well I-umm I sa-" I strutted, it's a really uncomfortable moment. Telling your close friend that her boyfriend from two fucking years is cheating on her is not easy
"Hazel come on!" Rose half shouted.
"I SAW ED WITH A GIRL AND THEY WERE KISSING" I blurted out and then slammed my hand over my mouth surprised that I actually was able to tell her.
"WHAT!!" shouted Rose like a lunatic.
"Rose, calm down" Said Emma trying to calm her
"Hazel, are you sure about this? are you sure you haven't mistaken him with someone else?" Rose was now with a tear stained face, more like mascara stained and I feel horrible for it. I wish I hadn't seen him, but then she'll have to keep on loving a man full of lies.
"yes I'm sure, but now you just need to calm down and figure out what you're gonna do okay?" I hugged her and Tried to comfort her the best way I can.
"Okay I'll try" she said sobbing.
The following morning, I woke up to my dad shouting I'm guess he's just on the phone with someone from work,
But what I know is that he sounds angry more than usual, I wonder what's happening I hope everything is fine though.
I got down after doing my morning routine.
"Good morning everyone" I said to my parents who looked extremely stressed.
"morning Hazel, come get some breakfast" said mom Without any emotion In her voice. This is a first.
"are you guys hungry? Take a snickers" I said trying to lighten up the mood, they're not themselves when they're hungry but I don't think it worked, I'll just shut up. I wonder what's making them in a bad mood like that, I know they won't tell me because obviously they're not responding to anything but what I know is that I'll figure it out or at least find a way to, but for now I'll just enjoy my breakfast and try my best on keeping up the good mood I'm having today.
