I recommend you to listen to the song while reading :D
• ~ • ~ •Light thumps, straight next to my ears woke me up from my deep sleep. I have to say that this is literally more annoying than any alarm. Still not moving from the sleeping position I was in, I opened my eyes to detect the source of the noise; okay it is right behind me.
What on earth could this possibly be?
I turned around to be surprised with a pair of non-human eyes staring at me. "Ahh!" I squealed and fell face first out of my bed and into the ground. I raised my head up before rubbing my forehead to find out that my morning ruiner was a beautiful furry creature. A dog. "Hello" I said before I raised my hand slowly to pet it on the head. But wait, is this thing friendly? looking now at it's wiggling tail which is still annoyingly slamming the nightstand, and the tongue that is sticking out of it's open mouth in addition to the fact that it's actually jumping right now, I can one hundred percent say that it definitely wants to play. "You're adorable!" I said while tickling it all over. Why haven't I thought of getting a dog as a pet before? maybe because colored fish appealed more to me as a kid, specially the ones that die after a week and a half. Due to the fact that they were overfed obviously.
"Aragon" I heared Dominic calling outside. "So your name is Aragon ha?" I said to the dog as if he could really understand me.
"Aragon, come here boy!" Dominic shouted again, his voice now getting close. Aragon barked as a reply to Dominic I guess, that's the only possible meaning of what he did right?
The next thing I saw was Dominic's head popping out next of my door that was already wide open. "Can I come in?" He asked with a shy smile. This guy is just too well mannered for a son of a mafia. I, myself don't even ask sometimes. I nodded in return. By the time he was into the room, Aragon went to him and jumped up balancing on Dominic's legs.
"Good morning" I said and got up on my feet.
"Good afternoon to you too Hazel" Dominic said. what?
I looked at the black clock on the wall, and yes it was not the morning. At all."So you've met Aragon I see" He said while tying the dog to a leash that I have just noticed him carrying.
"I did. For how long have you had him?" I asked curiously.
"Actually, my dad got it for me about-" he paused thinking and then continued: "two years ago"
I just smiled in response."I really didn't want him at first; I'm not into animals that much, but then I got used to him and now I can't imagine not having him" he added with a chuckle at the end. So if this dog ran away what would you do? I said into my head.
"Where have he been all this time? like from the day I came here, this is the first time I see him" I said and walked closer to the two.
"Routinely checkups" he said with a light shrug. "You must be hungry. Lunch will be served in a bit. I'll be waiting for you at the dining room okay?" He added, led Aragon with the leash and got out of the room. Why did he look so nervous though? Maybe nervous is not the right word, he was more like ... Bewildered. I closed the door shut and that's when I realized that I was in the same clothes from yesterday. Events from last night flooded into my mind and a smile was plastered on my lips. Swimming in the lake, watching the sunrise on the dock with Dominic, and then falling asleep.
Wait, I can't remember what happened next, I just woke up in my bed. Okay, so he didn't even wake me up, Just carried me all the way? Oh. That was really nice of him. I took a look at myself at the mirror, ugh I really did need a bath after that midnight swim.
