Chapter 36: Attack Part 3

     Once the last of Kurohime's powers (the little that I was allowing her to use) reached her, she walked toward the barrier. Aya was barely holding on, so I took full control of the barrier. In order for Kurohime to pass through unhurt, I had to weaken the barrier for just a moment. The moment Kurohime stepped inside the barrier, the air grew cold. A black aura surrounded her and the nothingness. It's as I thought, Kurohime will be able to suppress the nothingness' power. She's had a dark aura since we first meet. This means she is a being born of darkness but she's not nothingness. With speed and grace, Kurohime attacked. She and the nothingness engaged in a fearies battle. Kurohime using a series of kicks to both block and defend. The nothingness was forced to use brute strength against Kurohime his powers were useless. As long as Kurohime has some of her sealed powers, she can suppress the powers of nothingness. Still even with this advent, this nothingness is built like a body builder. Kurohime's going to have to use everything she's got against him. "Mistress this is getting annoying. Are you ready yet?" Kurohime yelled as she did a back flip to avoid being punched. I ignored her as I focused on the barrier. It is going to take longer to reinforce the barrier with Aya losing strength.
    "Aya." I called her name, she said nothing. Then I saw why, she'd finally passed out. This must've happened while I was dealing with Kurohime. Because her hand was still on the pentagon, her power couitned to go into it. With little strength Aya had left, (even unconision) was going into the barrier. Great now I have to finish this alone. "Kurohime, can't you pin him down or something." My own breathing had become heavy, talking was painful. Kurohime ducked as the nothingness went to punch her. Quickly she grabbed his arm and pulled him down. As he came down, she kicked her right leg out, kicking him in the chest. Kurohime dodged the next attack, then got in close for another kick. Just as she was about to made contact, the nothingness grabbed her leg. He then slammed Kurohime's body into the ground. The impact sent a shock of paralyzing pain through her body. She never got the chance to recover; the nothingness began to merciless beat her. Seeing her helpless and at the mercy of someone else brought me back to the night of my parents murder. Again it's my fault that someone else is getting hurt. 
This shouldn't be happening, Kurohime is not that weak, she's stronger then that.
    My body frozen as I watched Kurohime being beaten and hit repeatly. Again I'm weak and unable to help those around me. This is the second time Kurohime has been hurt because of me. Nothing, there's nothing I can do. I'm weak and I'm going to die here. I've broken my promise and I'm going to die the same place my parents were killed. Mikazuki must be enjoying this, she gets to watch my pain. "You fool, why would I enjoy this. Your pitiful." Mikazuki's voice rung loud in my head. She sounds mad, "Hell yeah I'm mad. You made a promise to never again be weak and to protect those around you. I can't believe this is the person everyone says is oh-so-powerful. Do you really wanna die? Do you want to waste the sacfices of your parents? If that's what you want, fine go ahead and die." Some of what Mikazuki said got through to me, but it wasn't enough. My body was still paralyzed, until Kurohime's screams broke the trace I was in. Without thinking I bit my right wrist, letting the blood run like a river. Then I yelled, "Dance of Blades and Blades of Death, kill my enemies with Blades of Blood." I said this as I threw my blood at the nothingness. Unknown to me, I'd just said a spell. The blood turned into the blades that cut the nothingness, he screamed in pain. I repeated the action several times until the nothingness had backed away from Kurohime. 
    The nothingness was now hurt, but still able to move. This would be my only chance, I let my blood drop onto the pentagon as I placed my right hand on the ground. Most of my power went into that last spell. In order to finish what Aya started, I drew power from my amulet. "Pentagon of the five elemental powers heed my summoning." I repeated Aya's chant. "I ask the five great element spirits. Water of mercy and purity, Fire of courage and passion, Air of grace and freedom, Earth of strength and stability, and Spirit of life and light." The pentagon started glowing blood red from my blood sacfice. "I ask that you bind this being born of darkness, hate, and pain. And to release the darkness within my servant of death." With that, a bright light filled the room. It was very beautiful and for a moment, I thought I saw my parents. Everything then went dark.
