You were back at school after the vacation was over, you walked into the classroom and took a seat at your table, Prompto and Ignis walked in a few moments later

"Good morning Shiro!" they greeted you with a smile

"Good morning guys" you greeted back showing them a weak smile

"Did you do anything on the weekend?" Ignis asked as he sit down on the table next to you

"No not really, I was unpacking my clothes and cleaned the apartment, what about you?"

"We spend the whole weekend playing a video game that just came out, it was in the mail on friday so I invited Prompto over" you nodded

"I see, sounds like fun" Prompto gave you a look as he noticed a light sadness in your eyes, the bell sounded and you looked to your side to find Noctis seat still empty

"Where is he?" you asked worried

"Probably slept over I guess" Prompto joked and Ignis laughed giving him a high 5

"Oh... I see" you mumbled silently and took your books out.

The day passed by really slowly since Noctis didn't show up, you were daydreaming today most of the time since you wondered where he was... no one seemed to know and you were worried about him quit a lot.. the school was finally over as you head back home after you waved goodbye to Ignis and Prompto who had another video game date, you walked home and eyed the ground sadly, it was really cold today and you could see your breath in the air, your shoulders were hanging and your head seemed really heavy, you wondered where he was and what he was doing.. you wanted to see and talk to him... after you parted with him and the others on friday he gave you a smile and told you how great it was to have you along and that he will see on monday but he didn't show... you walked home and let yourself drop to the bed as you tried to gather your thoughts, you looked over to your desk and saw the photo book on which you were working the whole weekend since you came back, you had printed every picture you had taken from you and the others and glued it into the blank pages dating it, you sit up and took the book down to your lab, it was half full already which made you a little sad... it reminded you that the time you had with Noctis was limited... you looked through the pages and smiled, this will be the best present you could ever make him, you closed it after a few moments and placed it back on the table, then something slid out from underneath your books and rested on the floor, you picked it up carefully and looked at it, it was the picture of him and you sleeping while holding hands... your heartbeat increased and you thought back to the conversation you had with Prompto..

"I like him... I like him very much..."

"I see... it was just like I had guessed... you start to fall in love with him, right?" Prompto asked

"I...I... I know that it is wrong... he and I are so different it would never... he is already promised to marry someone that's why I can't let him know..." you tried to talk quiet to not wake him and the others up

"You have to promise me... please... promise me that you will never tell him how I really feel... it would destroy everything... I don't want to disappoint him as a friend... I promised him that we make memories together until he gets married and takes over the throne.. I will keep my promise no matter what my heart wants... I want him to be happy that's all what I want... so please Prompto I beg of you not to tell him anything.." you tried hard to swallow your pain and keep your eyes dry as you asked Prompto to keep your secret, he looked at your sad expression through the back mirror and saw how hard it was for you, he could already feel your heart ache and it will get worse if you want to fulfill your promise, you stroke Noctis hair and watched him sleeping while Prompto had to think, he understood you well but he was aware of what would follow if he promised you to keep this a secret
