You arrived at the ball 15 minutes later, Noctis helped you out of the car and offered you his arm again to which you hold on as you walked towards the breath taking decorated school building, the music was already hearable from the distance and the other students were gathered in a large group, you walked over the blue carpet to the main hall and entered it slowly, suddenly everyone turned around and looked at you 2, your heartbeat started rising and you felt uncomfortable immediately, Noctis noticed that your arm had gotten a little bit tighter around his and he knew that the attention was getting to you, he tried to make you comfortable again and released you arm only to slide his hand into yours and interweaved your fingers softly, you looked at him a little surprised but Noctis only smiled softly

"Shall we go?" he asked, you hummed in response and he started walking with you into the huge hall not bothering the others at all, you followed him and were still idolizing him for his self confidence, it was nothing new to you but it got you every time, he lead you to the side tables were drinks were served and stopped, you looked at him shyly

"Thank you... I'm sorry if you have to save me all the time... I'm just not used to this attention yet so it's makes me freeze up in fear every time I am stared at.." Noctis smiled weakly

"You don't have to apologize, if you have trouble with the others staring at us then don't look at them... focus on something else instead and blend them out..." you nodded

"I..I'll try.." he ordered a drink with the waitress and handed you a fruit bowl

"Thank you.." you said as you took the glass out of his hands

"I never had any of these before so I hope that they will taste as good as they look like" you chuckled

"Well... I am pretty sure that you will like it, it's the most famous drink that is served on birthday parties.. you can even buy it in a local grocery store" Noctis smiled

"Ok if you say so then I trust you" he took a small sip from he glass and tasted it

"Hmmm... it's delicious" you smirked

"See, just like I told you" he smirked back and you 2 kept the eye contact a few moments until Prompto and Ignis walked up to you with their dates

"Hey guys!!" Prompto waved as he approached you, you smiled and waved back

"Hey!!" Ignis gave you a warm smile as well and stopped with his date next to you and Noctis

"I see that you found just the right dress like I imagined you would" you blushed a little

"Thank you.. it was all thanks to Promptos help... he choose it" Prompto grinned at you

"You look stunning in that dress! Absolutely hot!" his words made you blush deeper and deeper you started to fan yourself some air because your cheeks started burning from so much heat, Ignis chuckled and so did Noctis

"Prompto stop, Shiro is going to explode  from all the love you give her" Ignis hit his shoulder

"Sorry, I just wanted to mention how great you look tonight Shiro" you smiled softly

"Thank you for these kind words, it means a lot to me" then the microphone cracked and everyone turned their attention towards the stage that was set up

"Ladies and gentlemen... welcome to our 22th winter ball, just like every year we have the tradition of choosing our winter king and his winter queen... by the end of the evening our judge will announce who was the best pair and deserves to wear the title of king and queen... we hope you enjoy the night and have a wonderful Christmas! ho ho ho!"
