After Mrs. White came back from her honeymoon, she sent me a thank you note for making her wedding so wonderful, at the Moirai Estate. It was to me & the entire staff at the estate, but it was a sweet gesture & she mentioned me, by name, several times, in the note. I didn't speak to her, in person, for several weeks, until one Saturday, I bumped into her, while I was out shopping. Nick had taken Moira on a Daddy Daughter day, so I was taking advantage of some 'me' time.

I had just put my shopping bags into my trunk, when I heard someone call my name. I turned around & saw Fran grinning, as she walked toward me. "Fran. Hi. How are you?" I slammed my trunk shut & walked toward her.

"I'm great. And how are you? Are you shopping for fun or is it for therapy?"

I laughed, crossing my arms. "For fun. Moira had a date with her dad, today, so I thought I'd take advantage & get some Christmas shopping done."

"That does sound perfect. You're lucky. I'll have to try to find a good hiding spot in my house. So.. are you heading home?" Fran asked, adjusting her purse strap.

"I wasn't sure. I was thinking of going to a few other stores."

"I just finished checking my wedding registry. I wanted to see what wasn't bought, so I could get a few things we really needed. Anyway...I'm all done & have nothing to do, for a while. Want to grab some lunch?"

I smiled, nodding my head. "I'd love to."

"Great. Want to go to that little cafe, around the corner?"

"Sure. I love that place."

"We can even walk, since it's such a beautiful day. I love when it cools down a little." Fran said, taking a step toward the cafe & I followed, voicing my agreement, about the weather.
