Chapter 7 - Human but family

Faith
The pain spread all though my body. I stand from where I fell to the floor. Oh no. I broke headmasters family photo. "Headmaster I'm so.." he cut me off, "its okay Faith. Are you alright?" He asks and I nod my head. I rip out a glass shard that had embedded itself in my arm. I watch as the skin stitched itself back together and heals leaving only a faint scar which will disappear when I feed.
"What the hell is going on here!" A familiar voice called. Headmaster Hex's wife came running downstairs with a screaming baby. "I'll explain later sweetheart okay?" Headmaster says and she walks into the kitchen. Probably to find new baby Jade something to eat. I look back over to Hex. "Headmaster, I have to get Lilyana away from Cias. She wont survive much longer with him" I tell the headmaster. I can see him thinking. The gears slowly turning in his head until his eyed lit up like a fire cracker. "I have an idea" he says and I smile. He grabs my hand and pulls me upstairs. I walk into his study. Books filled with spells filled the shelves. I remember when I was a little girl I used to sit in here and read these books. Trying and failing to do small spells. My mind instantly goes back to one memory

"Come on little Faith you can do it. Just light the candle" Hex said looking down at the six year old me. His yellow eyes glowed with anticipation. I grabbed the big book and put it in between me and the candle. I begin chanting quietly. I watch as the candle doesnt even flicker a little. I throw mt hands down and look over at Hex. "I cant do it Uncle Hex! It wont let me! This is stupid. Vampires cant do magic!" I yelled and Hex walks over to me and kneels down beside me." Faith all creatures can do magic. Not as strong as witches and warlocks but they can do magic. All it takes it practise" he says and waves his hand over the candle. Instantly a flame appears. I smile at the flame changing colors. I jump up and wrap my arms aeound Hex's neck. "Thanks uncle Hex" I said ans he hugs me back. "Your welcome"

Tears threaten to spill down my cheeks. I missed magic. I gave up learning when my mum was killed by my father just a few days after that. I was so close to lighting the candle and then my father killed my mother. He said if I tried learning magic once more he'd kill me too. Hex walks over to me. "Faith is everything alright" he says. Its then that I notice I was clenching my fists. I relax and look at Hex. "I'm sorry I gave up magic. I should have learnt in secret. Kept fighting" I tell him and he shakes his head. "Magic wasnt worth you dying" he says and hugs me. I hug him back. We pull apart and he holds up a necklace. "Whats this for?" I ask and he smiles. "It will link you and I together. You will be able to access my magic" he says when he puts it around my neck. I notice a similar one around his neck. I touch the blue pendant and look back at Hex. "Hex, I dont know how to use magic" I tell him tears building up in my eyes. He smiles and walks over to his desk. He pulls a candle from his draw and places it on the desk. "Light it up Faith" he says and I walk over to the desk. I close my eyes and focus on the candle. When I open my eyes the candle remains unlit."see I cant do it!" I growl and Hex smiles. He walks back over to me and spins me around. I look at the book shelved and the fire place. Some of the candle on the fire place were burning and the fireplace was burning bright. He turns me back around so I'm facing him, "go and stop your brother. Save your cousin. Use whatever magic necessary"

Lilyana
I felt the hard cold floor before I woke. My head is pounding so much. And my stomach. I haven't eaten in what feels like days. Slowly I peeled my eyes open. Where was Cias? Sighing I sat up. My whole body hurts. Being drained every so second. "Your awake." The hard dark voice boomed the whole wrecked house. I move away from him. He was in dark clothes and holding some chains. I scooted further away. He tsk. "Stop moving away little Lily." That's my new nickname. Little Lily. He gripped my ankle and I screamed. He broke my ankle. Tears spilt down my cheeks. "Please." I begged. He laughed and his whole body was shaking and changing. What the hell. A man or some spirit or what the hell it is came out. I screamed and moved away. But his grip tightened. The body dropped down to the floor with a thud. "Faith my daughter. She won't rescue you. Little Lily going to die." He laughed and went back to the body. Daughter. Doesn't that mean he is her father. Cias or Faiths father stood up and pounced. He landed on top of me. He bit my neck and started drinking. A crash came from out side. I screamed for them. "HELP ME!"
