Chapter 19 - bonding time

I head a knock on the door and a female voice call my name. Lily. "Its open" I call back and she walks in. She looked horrible. "Hey..." She said and I offered her a small smile. "What are you doing?" She asked and I looked back to the spell book. "Being an idiot" I said. She tilted her head in confusion and I laughed a little. "I'm trying to find a spell that doesnt exist...a spell for a broken heart" I said looked away from her. I felt like an idiot. I heard a small laugh come from her direction. "Its not funny Lily" I said a little infuriated. "No no im not laughing at you, but you won't find the broken heart potion in a book Foolish Faith" she said on a childish voice and I giggled a little. "Oh yeah, and where would you find that special little elixer Silly Lily" I said and we both laughed. "Hang on" she said as she stood up and ran downstairs. I hear the boys complain about something but I didn't know what. I hear Lily running back upstairs and she closes the doors shut. In her arms was two ice cream containers, two spoons and a hot chocolate container. "How will that help?" I asked laughing at her effort. "Ive watched movies okay" she said as she lay everything down in between us. I stare across at my cousin smiling at me. "Alright what do we do?" I asked. She ran back out stairs and came back with a few blankets and two of her pillows. She throws them down and she runs over to my bed and throws my blankets and pillows on the floor aswell. "What are you doing?" I asked as she smiled at me. "Sleepover in the same house I guess" she said and she laughed. I laughed too. We sorted out a blankets and pillows so it made a two beds on the floor. We stuffed our faces with food and even dragged Jade to come sit down with us. She seemed to have fun scooping ice cream out with her little hands. Silly Lily was right, this is better than a spell.

Me and Faith watched and laughed throughout the night. I was happy for a change. Happy to be smiling with someone I can relate to.

It was nearly 5:00am and Faith is still asleep. I'm glad that my cousin has lightened up. I hate it when people try to find hard ways to not feel. You can't just turn off those emotions. I learnt that the hard way. I lied on my back and turned my head towards the sleeping Faith. She's so pretty. I smiled and stood up from the made up bed and walked out. The boys weren't up either. Guess I'm the only one aye. My stomach growled. I walked into the kitchen and looked inside the fridge. So many eggs and Bacon. Mmm. I know! I'll make everyone breakfast. Grinning like a Cheshire cat I started cooking.

Less than an hour past and I finished putting the plates on the table. Putting my hands in my hips I grinned down at my work. I already ate while cooking. Not that hungry to be honest. My head hurt a bit so I took a seat. Why now. Now it was pounding. Like a thousand drums going off. I moaned and lied my head onto the cold bench. My eyes flutter close and I'm off to darkness.
