I sat silently on my cramped wooden bunk bed, I have to share a room with Cherry Because there's only two bedrooms in this house. Luke sleeps in a cot in Mum and Dad's room. Our room, has light pink walls and a cream coloured carpet, There's only just enough room for the bunk beds and a wardrobe. I guess to be truthful this house is too small, But I really don't want to move! What about my friends Kiki? Freya? Lily? If I move out of this area, I'll never get to see them! And what about school? I'm only just In year 10, I'm doing my GCSE's!! How can I restart all over again? This is stupid!
"Jade? Listen love, It's me." Said my mum as she entered my room.
"What do you want? Ever heard of knocking?" I Moaned as i moved so I was facing the light pink wall.
"Don't give me that cheek!" Mum said sternly "I've just come to say...well....don't you want to know when we are going to leave?"
"No, l bloody well don't " I sighed
"Don't give me that cheek! ...I'll tell you anyway, You need to get packing, love... The furniture truck is arriving on Friday, we will be leaving this home for good on Saturday. On Sunday we will be in our new home!"
"Uhhh.. I said: I didn't want to know! anyway its Wednesday today! That's stupid!!" I wailed
"Oh, well there you go.... I got these cards for you to send to Lily, Kiki and Freya!" She said as she placed them on the end of my bed.
Silence.
I waited until she left and then I whipped around. On my bed were some cards they were all the same. On the front was a picture of a red sofa in the middle of a desert with a sign saying 'We're moving!'
Suddenly just there and then I cried. Warm tears splashed down my checks and landed on the cards. I cried and cried and cried, I guess I must Have cried myself to sleep.

"Wahhh!" I yawned out, in a sudden shock.
I woke up from my hazy dream and Looked at the alarm clock that was continuously beeping. 6:30 Time to wake up! I reached over and pushed the alarm off my bed post and onto the floor. I saw cheery hopping about battling with her school tie.
"Cherry, can you pass me my uniform?" I asked pointing to a neat pile of folded clothes on the small amount of floor. Cherry picked them up and threw them to the top bunk where I was laying. I ran my finger along the small logo that had 'Jerbie High School' embroidered on the top left hand side of the jumper. Looked like I wasn't going to be seeing this place much more. I blinked back the tears and hopped out of bed. I pulled on my uniform.
when I got downstairs my breakfast bowl was laying on a table among 6 brown boxes, there was a few more boxes on the floor and along the hall. My parents were too busy putting bots in that box and other parts in different boxes, they hardly noticed I had even come downstairs. I quickly ate my breakfast, brushed my teeth then packed my lunch. I practically ran to school. How was I gonna break it to my friends? They would be heart broken But one thing was for sure.....
