The Dining table was the longest table I've ever seen. Compared to our table we had back home, lets just say, It's like me picking up a ant. Hell, Apparently there were over fifty chairs, sometimes when they had parties they would need extra chairs, But usually at meal times all three of them would sit at one end. Lia had been explaining all sorts of things to us, mostly I was to busy daydreaming about Archie, but I did manage to listen to that.
"So, How are you and Archie getting on?" Gordon asked as he patted my shoulder. He had massive muscles, and the force of him patting me caused me to choke on my spaghetti. Once I finished choking I was able to reply
"Oh hell, Yes we're friends, I really lov- I mean Like him, we're gonna be great friends!" I smiled.
"Heh, yeah we exchanged numbers! and we're the same age, I could help Jade when she comes to my school, basically tomorrow, but its always good to have a friends at school, right?" He asked nodding in my direction. Suddenly I remembered my old school, and Kiki, Freya, Lily all my friends, and Mr.Fries the best English teacher ever! I felt tears welling up in my eyes, I pushed the remaining spaghetti to the side.
"Right. I err, I'm tired I might just find that room of mine, err second floor first one on the left..." I managed to say just about , my voice was slightly cracking, so before the tears ruined my face again, I made a run.
When I finally found my room, After running into several bathrooms and the master bedroom, which I must say looks amazing. It's about the same size as our old house all together, I finally arrived at a room that said 'Jade' on a small sticker in the centre of the door. Not knowing quite what to expect I slipped the door open.
"wow!" I smiled to myself. The theme of the room was burgundy, My favourite! The bed was queen sized and Had several pillows, there was two white and two burgundy, the bed sheet was burgundy too, It had small white flowers. The wall was still white but had a burgundy boarder with the same design as my bed. A giant wardrobe covered most of the back wall, It had a built in vanity with a stool and mirror. There was several drawers and a bed-side table. My favourite thing was that the end of the bed had a HD TV fixed onto it. I dashed onto the bed and sat there in silence for a minute. then I heard a knock at the door.
"Can I come in?" Asked the same soothing voice of the most wonderful boy ever.
"Sure," I said as I wiped my wet face. Archie walked In and sat on the burgundy sofa near the door.
"Hey, Jade I'm really sorry if I upset you earlier." He said. His face looked upset, which looked super cute. I didn't want him to be upset so I quickly I thought up something.
"Oh, No, no It wasn't you it's....Just... a...errrr.. MEMORY! that's it! Just a memory I had of my... er dead grandma...she used to make spaghetti too!" I said frowning slightly as his eyebrow rose the way it had when he saw my phone.
"Erm, Okay..well as long as you're alright. Oh, I know how about a swim in the pool tomorrow morning, It has a hot tub!" He said, when he said about the hot tub, He seamed to hold onto the words a bit longer then normal, I think he was trying to convince me, but he needn't worry, I was already convinced.
"Yes!" I almost screamed.
"Okay, well I'll leave you for a little nap, You don't wanna be tired for tomorrow." He replied as he opened the door, But before I could say anything he was already gone.
I noticed that all of my bags we're sitting on the desk over by the window, I needed to find some Pj's and a swimming suit too. I opened one of the bags and found My Pj's with a little bunny in the middle of the top, I slung them onto the bed, Then I searched for a swimming costume.
"Actually, I ought to look sexy, Maybe I should wear that bikini that Kiki brought me?" I said to myself. Kiki liked to look sexy for the boys, she always wore skirts that only just covered her but, and tops that showed her totally flat stomach. Sure enough Boys always came running to her. So for my fourteenth birthday last year she brought me this bikini, I never really had the chance to use it, But now was the perfect time. I placed the bikini onto the bed-side table and then I slipped my Pj's on.
Once I was inside the bed I looked at the clock. it was only quarter past eight But I didn't care The sooner the morning the better. I bet even Luke wasn't in bed this early, but everyone thought I was tired after I used that excuse, so who cares? I pulled the burgundy bed sheets up tight and shut my eyes. I thought about Archie, and the swimming pool. Maybe life at Lakeside Mansion wouldn't be that bad after all?
