I marched down the corridor, The smell of fresh chips played about my nose, Everywhere I looked, children were tucking into their lunches, Archie gently pushed me to the left, near a massive table full of the teenagers I saw earlier. Arcie's friends. He sat down on one of the small chairs next to Olivia, I sat next to him. Everyone was playing on their phones, and chatting, There was two extra large portions of chips being passed around the table, people just took a chip every now and then. Nobody had a lunchbox, so I decided I would keep mine in my bag and eat it later.
"Here, have a chip!" Archie said as he pushed the chips towards me, taking one for himself.
"Thanks." I said and bit into a chip, somebody called my name, I turned to face the voice.
"Hey, Jade, so hows the first day?" Said a girl with long red hair, it had a slight wave in it, she looked like the type of girl who would either be totally geeky or popular out of her mind.
"It's fine, I have double English next, in RM14." I said nodding in her direction.
"Oh really? So do I, perhaps I should ask to move from Kiera, and sit with you?" She smiled, showing a row of sparkling white teeth, like what Archie's parents had.
"I'ld really like that, being new and all." I said trying to act cool by flicking my brown hair, though to be honest I instantly regreted it.
"We should be friends, I'm Colette." She said as the boy behind her Slipped his arms through hers. Shje giggled and turned around. A guy with gelled black hair leaned in and kissed her, they looked like the perfect couple, talking about couples, I turned back to Archie.
"You alright there?" He asked his eyes made contact with mine. I couldn't speak, it felt so magical as I looked into his dark eyes. I nodded.
"Good, have I ever told you? Your eyes are beautiful, that shade of blue." He hummed, I swear I missed several heartbeats, as I slowly took in that he had just said. The moment was instantly broken, as Princess Olivia cut in.
"Erm, Archie what the fuc- I mean..." She said as she spotted a younger kid behind her staring at her in disbelief. I had to admit she did sound rather harsh. "Archie, what are you doing, it looked like you were staring into Jadey-Lady's eyes!" she said in a softer tone.
"Ahaha, what! Look..." He said he turned away from me and started to talk to her, I couldn't hear what they were saying, because he almost whispered it to her. So instead I just daydreamed about what he had said.

I stepped out of double English, two hours of the same subject, in the same room! Hell even if I did have Colette as company, it was pretty exhausting work. I waved to Colette as she walked to the stairs. Archie said he would meet me outside RM14, then we would get our lift with Gordon's driver-guy. I stood there clutching my Homework book, staring at the wall.
"Have I ever told you? Your eyes are beautiful, that sahade of blue." I hummed under my breath to myself. Did that mean somthing? I turned my head as the sound of thumping footsteps got louder from behind me.
"Hey, sorry I'm late" Archie explained half huffing and half puffing. "Got, caught up, Y'know...?" He finished.
"No, I don't know, anyway lets get a move on." I said blushing, hoping he hadn't heard me rehearsing what he had said to me.
He nodded and leaded me downstairs. My heart begged for me to ask him about what he said, but me head told me to keep my mouth shut, I walked silently, hoping he might say something.
"Quiet today, aren't you? whats up?" He asked, as if he was reading my thoughts. I shook my head and looked at him.
"I was just wondering what you meant when you sa-" I blurted. "I mean, I was wondering about our GCSE exams, do we have to revise the whole section of this book?" I asked, waving a book at his face.
"Erm, I don't know, anyway what were you wondering about me? Hmm?" He asked. as he opened the door to the car. I looked down, hoping he wouldn't see me blush.
"Nothing..." I mumbled as I did the seat belt up. He hoped in the other side. As the car started up it was mostly quiet, as the radio hummed along, it felt awfully awkward as I sat there, on the poofy seat, I gazed over to Archie several times, but his head was always fixed into his phone. Suddenly he broke the silence.
"I've got your birthday present, just so you know. It's soon isn't it?" he asked, finally pulling his face away from his phone.
"Yeah, Friday, four days." I said. my brain yelled, how stupid I had just sounded.
"Perfect.." He smiled, then carried on with what he was doing on his phone.
I twiddled my thumbs, Perfect? Perfect what? apart from teacher training day off school, and my birthday, it was a normal day, nothing perfect about it.
"Hey, whats perfect?" I asked suddenly turning towards him, I crossed my arms, demanding his answer.But before he could reply, the driver yelled at us.
"Oi, ya hooligans, rides over , no time for flirtin' now, get of with ya, go on shoo!" He grumbled wiggling his filthy finger at us. I uncrossed my arms and put them on my hips.
"Pfft, Flirting I think not! Thanks...for the lift." I moaned as I opened the door. I jumped out and grabbed my school bag. I heard Archie get out the other side. I wish we had been flirting to be honest. I carefully wobbled across the snowy path, was it me, or had it snowed more than when I left for school this morning?
"Jade! Wait up!" Archie called as he ran over, by my side. We walked along the pathway. Then for the second time in a day, something amazing happened, His hand brushed across mine! A warm sensation buzzed over my body, my heart began to beat fast. I stood still, and watched as he carried on walking to the door. Me heart banging through my chest, begging to cuddle with his. I licked my lips as Archie reached the door and opened it.
"Coming?" He called as he walked inside, I watched as his figure disappeared down the corridor. I just wanted to stand there smiling to myself, in the freezing weather, though it was cold, I felt warmer then ever, as I realized, maybe I hadn't just imagined it, Maybe he was my soul-mate?
