A Promise (Marco Bott x Reader)

*Chapter Two*

I sat on the porch with Armin, Jean, Marco and a few others after we ate.
"So, has anyone ever seen a Titan?" Jean questioned arms behind his head casually.
"Yes. They are horrifying." I shivered lightly the memories clouding my eyes.
"You've actually seen one."Armin asked alarmed growing pale.
"Yeah, I was one of the few survivors from my home village." I elaborated with a grimace.

Marco stared at me in shock sadness
glossing over his one smiling eye.
"I'm so sorry, it must have been traumatizing." He sniveled tearing up and leaned over and hugged me.
My vision became blurry as I silently cried in his arms.

We just sat there for a few moments before Marco loosened his grip.
He looked down at my tear streaked face shocked and embarrassed.
"I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to." He stumbled over is words turning a fluorescent shade of red.
"It's fine." I replied a smile on my lips and a dusting of pink on my cheeks.

"Get a room." Jean announced making me jump back slightly.
"Jean, don't be an ass." Armin protested, his eye also puffy from crying.
"What, So Marco gets a hug and I can't make any remarks?!" Jean fumed grabbing the collar of Armin's shirt.
"There's no need to be jealous Jean." Armin remarked a sly smirk forming on his features.

They continued to fight back and forth like two puppies fighting over a toy.
"It's getting late." I stated full up of their nonsense.
"Good night." Marco called after me, smiling.
I waved over my shoulder, smiling ever so slightly.

I walked to the girls sleeping quarters and claimed a top bunk.
"I'm Mikasa, I have the bunk under yours." The a black haired woman stated.
"(Y/n)." I implied putting the remainder of my clothes away.
"Can I borrow a pair of socks?" She asked pointing to one of mine.

"Sure." I said handing them to her.
Changing into my night clothes I put the rest of my belongings away.
I was really tired.

The first day was long and stressful, but not as bad as I thought.
Slowly, I drifted off to sleep only to dream of that adorable freckled face...
