Rose's POV

After Lunch, I had no more classes with Scorpius. By the time Dinner came, I was feeling lightheaded. The day had started so plainly... and yet I went through a hurricane of emotions.

I didn't know how to feel anymore.

"Hey," Lily said, sitting down next to me on the common room couch. "You tutoring Malfoy later?"

"Yeah."

"It looks like it's about to rain," Lily said randomly in a surprisingly flat tone.

I looked through the window and squinted, "Yeah ... I guess it does." I was instantly reminded of last night, the water pouring out of Scorpius's sleeves while he sat stiller than a dead cockroach.

She didn't say anything else, which made me suspicious. Usually, she would take every opportunity she could get to squeeze some Scorpius gossip out of me.

"So," I said, to start her off. "Do you wanna hear about the bird incident?"

She shrugged, "Maybe later."

I stared at her in surprise, "Lily, what happened? Why are you acting so strangely?"

"I'm not acting strangely," she said, a distracted look on her face.

"Yes, you are."

"I'm not, I -" she froze for a second, as if remembering something. Then she sighed, twisting ginger curls out of her eyes, "I have a lot of things on my mind."

"About what?" I asked in disbelief.

"I ..." She looked unsure.

"Lil!" I faced my whole body towards her. "You can tell me!"

"There's this guy," she started slowly. "But ... I'm not sure if I have feelings for him yet."

"That means you do," I said, smiling widely.

She frowned, "What?"

"Just tell me who it is!" I demanded. I was a second away from squealing, which was completely UNLIKE me.

"Well..."

The portrait door opened and Albus walked in. When he saw us cooped up on the couch he stopped and said wearily, "What are we talking about?"

"You are not talking about anything!" I snapped, waving my hands. "Shoo! This is girls night."

"Then can't you do it in the girl's dormitories?"

We turned to see Fred slipping in after Albus.

I groaned, "You boys are ruining this whole thing. Lily was about to tell me -"

"That its time to go!" Lily said loudly, shooting me a hardened look. "Seriously, it's 7:10."

I looked at the clock above he fireplace and leaped out of my seat, "It's 7:10?!" I raced up to the girls dorm, grabbing my bag from the foot of my bed and hurrying back out.

"What's at 7:10?" Albus asked.

"Her little snuggle session with Scorpius," Fred answered smugly, enunciating on his name.

STUDY session!

I was really in too much of a hurry right now to correct him or slap him, so I hoped Lily would do both for me as I rushed out of the common room without another word.
