You owned a small bakery on the corner connecting to an intersection. Despite your store's placement, not many people stopped by. You had a few regular people that dropped by but it was mostly old people that dropped by on a very predictable schedule.
"Please tell me there's not anything wrong with it?" You pleaded as you crouched down and rest your arms on the table, slightly looking like a lost puppy whining for scraps. Your friend had dropped in on your request to taste a few additions to your list of treats you served.
"I mean it's good, but something just seems off about it." She said as you groaned and slammed your forehead on the table. She sheepishly pat your head when suddenly the door opened, showing a group of people walking into your small bakery. You squealed out of excitement and anxiety because they weren't regulars, you never saw them before. Your smile grew as you rushed back to behind the counter.
"Hello, what can I get you?" You said nicely to a stranger with pointed sunglasses.
"Can I get that orange tart thing?" He said, his voice rumbling as you nodded.
"Oh shit yeah." He stated as you handed him the tart and he paid. Another girl walked up, looking slight intoxicated but you didn't want to question it. She ordered a pink lemonade cookie, paid, and sat by the man with the shades. A man with an adventurous grin walked up, ordered an oatmeal and raisin cookie and sat by the others. You were putting the cash away in the lockbox under the counter and when you looked up your jaw almost dropped.
"H-how can I h-help y-you?" You nervously stated as the girl grinned.
"Can I get a slice of the red velvet cake?" Her voice was like velvet... But you quickly nodded and have her the treat. She paid and left a pretty generous tip in the jar, leaving you smiling like an idiot with a red face. Little did you know your friend was just inches away, studying your movements when she suddenly gasped.
"You! Her! Oooohhhh myyyy God YASSSSSS." She said excitedly as you slapped a hand over her mouth.
"SHUT IT OR I SWEAR I WILL SHOVE A COOKIE UP YOUR ASS." You whisper yelled, embarrassed beyond compare. The group got up and started to leave when suddenly the girl stopped and handed you a slip of paper.
"Why don't you call me? Surely you're as sweet as that cake." She cockily grinned, definitely not what you were expecting. You vigorously nodded as she left. But through the glass of the window you could see her friends giving her high fives, and as she started to turn the corner she shot a wink in your direction. I swear if you weren't holding onto the counter top for dear life you would've swooned.
