It was dark. I felt like I was floating. It's like I was awake, but I wasn't awake. Unable to open my eyes, speak or move, I didn't know what was going on.
Blurs of light began to come in and out of my mind. I can see something, someone, it was Mateo. He was lying on his back and I was leaning over him and he began smiling. That little boy had such a beautiful soul. His smile was so contagious; I began to smile, too. I started kissing on his stomach and suddenly realized he had been laughing. He always begins to laugh when he takes his poops. The smell lingered in my nose as I backed away swiftly, making him laugh even more.
Wait, where's Azalea? I called her name and she walked into the room with the biggest smile on her face. I told her what had happened and she thought it was so funny. I picked Mateo up and swung his butt right in front of Azalea's face. She had the most disgusted look on her face, I laid Mateo down for one second and Azalea had tackled me from the side. BOOM.
I was back in the car. Azalea and I were arguing about the whole sperm donor situation with Jeremiah. I said some disrespectful shit to her and I tried to fix it but she pushed me away. Her foot came off the pedal and we backed into the street. The next thing I knew a car rammed into us, hitting my side abruptly. There was a sharp jab into my side as my head hit the dashboard and everything went black.
Flashes of lights began to appear in my mind again. But this time it was different, it was pure white. The white light surrounded me and I felt like I was in another dimension. There was a faint voice. It was speaking to me but I couldn't hear what they were saying. Wait. I know that voice... Dad?
"Francesca, my beautiful daughter, what have you gotten yourself into? Haven't you learned your lesson from me? Yes, cars are our best friends but they're also our worst enemies in some cases, too. I've missed you so much. And I want you to know that I'm so proud of all that you've done and all that you've became. My grandson, he's so handsome, and Azalea is simply a gem. You definitely are your father's child. Anyway, I know you wanted to hear from me but not like this. But it's time for you to make a decision Francesca. You're banged up pretty bad kid. You've got some traumatic brain injury, a couple broken ribs, and a punctured kidney that led you to bleed out. If you're going to fight, you'll have to fight hard. And if you don't fight hard enough, you'll end up here with me. It's not too bad; I've been working on some pretty nice cars. Like there was this black - let me get back to the point. It's up to you know baby girl. Daddy loves you."
