My vision blurred, boxes were flying everywhere, luckily they were tightly sealed. I felt myself get flung into a pile of stacked boxes and I heard one or two ribs crack. I winced at the pain and tried getting up. I saw Alex, he was slumped to the wall. Unlike me, he had the hard concrete wall.

I got up, trying not to bend at the pain shooting through my spine and ribs. I hobbled over to Alex and gently bent down. "Alex? Alex!" I wanted to shake him, to slap him until he replies but I couldn't. The cold thought of death made me forget my pain.

"Susie? Is that you?" Alex's eyelids fluttered and a wave of relief washed through me.

"That must be Alia, are you feeling alright?"I helped him get up and the pain in me was burning. We made it to the door and there was no one outside. When we turned the corner, I saw Alia.

She was in a black leather jacket and jeans with combat boots, her long brown hair falling past her shoulders. She had a handgun in each hand. The police surrounded her, they were all facing Hunter.

Hunter was ready too, he didn't have as much army but they were armed with special weapons. I could spot one or two of my kidnappers. My eyes darted between them, Hunter was full of anger whilst Alia looked as if she was enjoying this.

"Put down your weapons." Alia's clear voice was demanding.

"What are you going to do if we don't?" Hunter fired back.

"We would have to resort to battle."

"Bring it on."

Then the loud rattle of machine guns filled my ears. Everywhere, there were people falling and the heavy smell of blood filled the air. Alia was awesome, she fired with accuracy and she didn't mind a little blood. Hunter had skills too, the police couldn't get in 5 meter radius of him, he would always sense people coming.

I wanted to join in, but I couldn't leave Alex alone. I looked at him and his eyes were wide, staring at the mix of guns, blood and death. I didn't mind, I saw plenty of blood at the hospital. I came face to face with death itself before.

"Let's get out of here, before they see us." I said and he gently nodded. I walked him to where a bench was hidden behind a few steel machines. I sat down and gently rest my back. The gunshots were fainter now and I could hear myself think.

"How's your back doing?" Alex's voice was so quiet I had to strain my ears.

"Painful but good." I saw him half smile half wince when he tried straightening his back. It was kinda awkward being with him. He reached for my hand and squeezed it. I smiled and pulled away, I didn't want to go any closer to him or else I would change, maybe stab him again.

Then I felt something against hard against my head, the butt of a gun. "Freeze."
