Mavis's point of view
Even though it took an entire seven years for Jayden to notice me I couldn't be happier. I'm still so shocked that he asked me to the formal.

The day after Jayden's band practice I get to school really early. I admire the photos I have on the side of my locker. I recently put up some pictures from the Tonight Alive show. I take the one of Jayden that I really like down and look at it. A smile quickly forms on my face.

Then, out of no where, Jayden comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me.
"Good morning darling." He says, resting his head on my shoulder. I let out a small giggle.
"Good morning." I say.
He lets go of my waist and turns to look at me. "So, since I don't have band practise this afternoon, I was wondering if you wanted to go get some ice cream after school?"
I quickly think about whether I had any other plans but it's pretty clear I don't.
"Sure. I'd love that."
"Cool, it'll be my shout."
I nod and put my picture back up on the door of my locker.

Later that morning, during science, I am forced to work on my assignment with Kayla. Today she seems to be in a particularly bitchy mood and she's been going at me for the last 5 minutes. It doesn't take long before the all to familiar feeling of an anxiety attack becomes obvious.

I rush out of the classroom even though Mrs Davies is practically screaming at me. As I leave I can hear Kayla and her band of assholes laughing at me. Amber and Harper yell at her to shut up but it only makes her laughter get louder and more evil.

I sit down behind the building, hoping that no one finds me, and bury my head in my lap. I hate it when this happens.

Then out of nowhere I feel someone sit down next to me and start rubbing my back in soft, soothing circles.

"It's ok darling. It will be ok."
It's Jayden. I shuffle closer to him and lean onto his shoulder.

"Mavis, darling, look at me."
I don't move.
"Darling look at me." He says lifting my head up and looking down into my red eyes. He wipes away one of my tears.
"Don't listen to her. You're perfect, don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
I don't reply. "I'm serious. You are smart, funny, gorgeous, and you have the voice of angel."

"I'm glad someone thinks so." I say sarcastically.
"It's true." He defends again.
"Whatever you say." The sarcasm is still portrayed in my voice.
Jayden expression changes from monotone to disappointed in a couple of nano seconds.

"Aw baby, thank you." I say rubbing his cheek. "I think I might just stay here for a while though." I whisper.
Jayden nods but stands up.
"I need to go back to class though, you still up for ice cream this afternoon?"
I nod and a small smile forms on my face.
_____

That afternoon Jayden and I walk to the train station and catch the train down towards the beach.  We walk down the main road until we get to the ice cream parlour. We both order what we want and Jayden pays. I offer to pay for my own but Jayden protests.

We walk to down to the beach and sit down on the sand.

"You're really pretty you know that." Jayden says. I can't help but blush. "Especially when you blush."
That makes me cheeks go an even darker shade of red.
"You're pretty good looking yourself." I say smirking.
Jayden pecks me on the cheek and puts his arm around my shoulder. We sit there for a really long time and before we know it it's time to go home.
We walk back up to the train station and catch the first train home. Jayden even walks me to my house before walking to his aunts house. Hopefully his mum and him will have their own house soon.

Hey guys I'm sorry this is so short but I felt like updating.
I don't really have much to say.

Apart from...

If I were to do a character ask or something like that, who would participate? I'm not sure if I am going to do it but if enough of you express interest I might.

Ok well, hopefully I'll update a bit this week. I'm really starting to get into it.

Much love, Billie. Xx
