Chapter 32

Josh's Point of View

With formal just around the corner, Jayden, Ini and I decided to get together and make sure we're all ready. We don't feel like practising since Luke isn't here but we decide to use this time to talk about life and where the band is headed since school is nearly over.

"We should certainly stay together and keep making music. " Ini says. "But I also think it's practical to either go to Uni or Tafe, or get a job. You know, just in case we don't skyrocket to stardom straight away." Josh and I nod in agreement. We want to keep doing this band thing, but we know we do need something to fall back onto.

About an hour after the guys get to my place I start getting texts from Celeste asking me to call her. I leave the room to go talk to her.

"Hey baby what's up?"

"Not much, but I'm at Morgan's and she's really upset. I can't tell you why but I don't know what to do. Should I call Ini? Should I leave her alone? I really need your advice right now." 

I can hear the stress and tension in her voice, she sounds really worried.

"Hold on, maybe give her some space and I'll get Ini to check up her. He's at mine right now." I say, hoping that will stop her from stressing.

"Ok, thank you baby. I love you."

"I love you too. See you tomorrow."

"Ok, see you then."

She hangs up the phone and I let out a massive sigh that I didn't even know I was holding in.

I walk back into my room to find that Ini seems to be hanging up his phone too.

"Guys, I just a voicemail from Morgan and she seems really upset. I'm really worried." He says. He frantically starts pacing the room, clearly unsure of what action to take.

"Yeah, Celeste just asked me to call her and she said she was at Morgan's and that she was upset, but she wasn't able to tell me why."

This makes Ini get really frantic and stressed. I know how much he loves her so I can understand why this must be a little bit distressing for him.

"I'm going to try calling her back, and if she doesn't answer, I'm going to her house and physically make sure she's ok." He says, before rushing out of the room. About 5 minutes later he comes back in. "I tried calling her 5 times and it went to voice mail every time. I'm sorry guys but I really have to go." He says. We don't object, we just let him go. We know that if we hold him back all he is going to do is worry.

"So, you ready for tomorrow night?" I ask Jayden. I know he has been going through a bit of a rough patch with Mavis, and just want to check in with him that everything is still looking good for tomorrow.

"Yeah." He replies. "Can I let you in on a little secret?"

I'm instantly intrigued, "Yes, what is it?"

"I wrote a song for Mavis and I've been granted permission to perform it acoustically for her tomorrow night."

"Wow, that's really cool. Celeste made sure I didn't get her anything special or do anything like that because I also considered doing something similar, I wouldn't be the one singing it though."

Jayden nods, clearly seeming proud of himself. "It's called Voldemort and it's my way of telling her that I'll be here for her no matter what because I know that we're good together."

"Aw, that's cute. Now that I think about it, could I possibly ask you some advice?" I ask.

"Yeah of course dude, that's what friends are for." He says

"I know Celeste and I have only been going out a few moths but I've started looking at properties to rent and I was going to ask Celeste if she would be interested in joining me in the search and when we find something, whether she might want to move in with me. I'm just a bit worried that I might be making the wrong choice."

Jayden raises his eyebrows; I guess he wasn't expecting that. "Well, while I'm shocked I think it's worth a shot. I've seen how she looks at you and heard how she talks about you when you aren't around. That girl is madly in love with you and as long as you're sure that you love her, you two are solid."

I start blushing when he talks about her. "What does she say when I'm not around?" I ask, gushing a little bit.

Jayden chuckles at the way my face has gone red. "I don't usually pay too much attention but I know that the other day when I had a class with just her and Ini, she started talking about you and almost cried as she told us how much she loves you. She had to get permission to go to the bathroom to cool off."

Woah, that's not quite what I was expecting but it's adorable nonetheless.

"That girl loves you so much, I've seen it on her face since the first time I saw her look at you."

I guess it's decided then.
