SUMMER INFATUATION
A sonnet

When I drowned in ocean of your debt
You river, my mountain fed
Didst thou ever regret
Thy meeting with me, the summer had led.

Thou art fair, my beloved being
Love is winged and unconfined
Summer breeze had been jealous of what 'twas seeing
Our love is forever towards joy inclined.

Thy winter smile is stolidly immutable
Even the winged cupid is blind
And our life, my companion, is an eternal fable
The grotesque owl did hoot to find.

I, a lover, a poet, a lunatic from thy sleazy fingers burn
Shall see your warm eyes when cold I shall discern.
