Mother oversees her child's play
"Love has no bounds" they say
His laughter makes her day
There are things you can never repay.

The twinkling child blinks twice
His brilliant smile is her prize
His sadness, his joy, his sweet whispers
Everyday his image is etched deeper

Like the rays of sunshine
Resurrect the land
His music like voice
Is light to her soul bland.

Just like water creases the stones
To make its mark forever
She'll cross oceans and climb mountains
Just to protect her child from nights darker.

And maybe one day
When she leaves
He'll remember those enmities
His mother fought for him
And the only thing remaining
Would be those priceless memories.
