13: Thank you Dan

Dan's P.O.V
I held onto lucy tighter as she relived her past. It hurt to see her in so much pain. I could feel my eyes begin to sting as they filled with tears. I have always been am emotional person especially for people I care about. A tear slipped down my cheek as lucy finished speaking. She looked into my eyes looking even more hurt than before. "Omg now youre crying, I always got to fuck everything up! I'm so worthless my parents were right!" She said sobbing harder. I gently grabbed  her cheeks making her eyes meet mine. "Listen to me Lucy, you are far from worthless! I don't care what your parents told you because it was nothing but big lies! Lucy don't be so hard on yourself you are so much better than that!" I say. I meant every word of it. "You really think that Dan?" I hear her lightly whisper.  "I know that lucy," I reply pulling her into a caring hug.
I stand up and start running the hot water for the bath squeezing a generous amount of sweet scented bubble bath into the running water. "Daniel may I ask what you are doing? " Lucy said a small smiling appearing on her face. That's what truly makes me happy. "Well lucy, im running you a bath and then you are going to get in it and relax then, we are going to get a shit ton of food watch some youtube and fall asleep because tomorrow is a busy day!" I say dropping a rainbow coloured bath bomb into the mass amounts of bubbles. "Well that sounds like a plan to me and what's so special about tomorrow? " She asks. "Vidcon starts tomorrow,  did you forget?" I chuckle lightly as she slowly nods. "Well im going to pop to target to buy some food so you stay here and relax okay?" I ask and she nods. I walk over to her and kiss the top of her head. 'I'll take the key with me, don't answer the door and when I get back I want to see you smile," I kiss the top of her head again and walk out grabbing my wallet and key.
Lucy's P.O.V
I stood silently for a second after Dan left. Did he really mean what he said? Of course he does dan isn't like that. I heard my inner voice say.
I slip out of the bathroom and grab my cosiest pajamas. Well not really because this is LA and it's pretty warm. I slip off my clothes tossing them to the side as I step into the bath.  I sat in the warmth of the water for a good ten minutes just letting myself relax. Thank the Lord for people like dan. I washed myself slowly just taking the time to be thankful. I had been in the tub for a good 25 minutes when the water started turning cold. I hopped out and proceeded to wash away all the bubbles.
I put on some lotion to soften my skin before slipping on my pajamas and leaving the bathroom. I walk in to a messy, empty room. I picked up my phone and checked for any messages. I saw one from dan.
D: I'll be back in 5 minutes so you better be relaxed.
L: I'm perfectly relaxed, thank you dan you didnt have to do that.
D: No I didn't have to but I wanted to. See ya in 5 minutes.
L: Why do I deserve you? See ya soon.
I smiled to myself. Dan is so sweet. I began to tidy up the room quickly before he got back im surprised he hasn't mentioned anything about this room. I throw the last pillow on the bed as the door slowly opens and in walks dan. I ran up to him and hugged him. He seemed shocked at first but quickly wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you, I mean it." I whisper in his ear. I felt the embrace tighten.  "So I got a lot of food!" He says as we part. I look through the bag of goodies. "So you like malteasers eh?" I ask smiling at him. "What gives you that impression?" He says pretending to be serious. "Oh just the fact that you got 6 bags of them," we both laughed amd flopped down on my bed.
Boy am I blessed.
