Chapter 5

"Yaa Joong Ki, what brings you here?" Kwang Soo immediately rose and hug his favorite cousin. They were of same age that's why among all of their cousins, the two of them are the closest.

"Didn't Auntie told you that I will be arriving today? Mom asked her if I could stay here since she doesn't want me to live in a boarding house. And dad don't want to let me stay in a hotel. I asked them to buy me a condo near the university but they both rejected the idea because they don't like me living alone. So I'm stuck here." Joong Ki knows all of Kwang Soo's friends since he always talks about them and they were all friends on facebook. He greets them one by one.

When he saw Ji Hyo, he stops in front of her.

"You are looking more beautiful noona." He smiled at her and then hug her briefly. Although he is of the same age as Kwang Soo, he is already a college freshman because he is really smart and got accelarated. He likes calling Ji Hyo noona to tease her.

"Nice to see you again, Joong Ki." She said shyly. She was really tongue tied when it comes to him.

She met him 5 years ago. She heard so much about him even before they met. Kwang Soo's parents love him but sometimes when he acts like a spoiled brat, they will compare him to Joong Ki saying how mature and smart he is for his age.

She never saw him get jealous of Joong Ki. In fact he even boasted about him to all of his friends. He often told Ji Hyo stories about him that she felt she knows him so well already even if she hadn't met him yet at that time.

She was 13 when she first laid eyes on him. It was when she visited Kwang Soo in his house because he was sick.

She was watching tv when she heard her phone rang.

~Yeoboseo?~

~Yaa Ji Hyo ssi, I'm so sick right now I'm stuck here in my room. I am so bored so please come over. I badly needed your company.~

Of course she can't refuse him. She was waiting for him since he was supposed to come to her house but he never came. Now she knew why.

She hurriedly went to his house. She was concerned of Kwang Soo because he rarely got sick. She brought him his favorite soup.

As soon as the maid let her in she dashed to the living room towards the staircase. She was a little preoccupied that she didn't saw the boy standing near the stairs. She bump into him and fell on the floor. The canister that contains the soup opened from the impact and some spilled on her arm.

"Ouch." She felt the pain on her arm because the soup is still hot. She also felt disoriented from her fall.

"Hey, Gwaenchaena?" A boy offered her his hand and she took it to help her stand. When she looked at him, she was stunned to see the cutest guy she had ever seen in her life. She felt self conscious all of a sudden.

"Are you hurt? I'm sorry but I was looking the other way and you were running. Here let me help you with those." The boy help her clean the mess she made and gave her some ointment for her skin. She just kept on nodding and smiling everytime he asked her something.

"By the way I am Song Joong Ki. I am Kwang Soo's cousin. I just arrived when you came." He smiled at her.

"I'm Song Ji Hyo, friend of Kwang Soo. I'm here to visit him since he is sick." She said. For the first time in her young life she felt shy.

"Omo, I heard so much about you. You're all he ever talks about. He's right though, you are indeed beautiful."

From then on, she knew she develop a huge crush on him but she just kept it a secret especially to Kwang Soo. She was afraid he will tease her so much. The three of them were inseparable all throughout that 2 months vacation. She even cried when Joong Ki left.

His family just relocated in Shanghai then to manage their business there. Kwang Soo told her that Joong Ki has no permanent address because they were always moving out depending on what business his parents need to focus on. He had lived in HongKong, Singapore and Taiwan.

And now seeing him again after all those years and still she still feels butterflies on her stomach.

"Yaa Ji Hyo, what's wrong with you?" Jae Suk suddenly ask making her aware that she was staring at Joong Ki.

"She's just probably shocked to see Joong Ki again after 5 long years. We spent a lot of time together with him when he stay here during vacation." Kwang Soo shrugged. He didn't put any malice on their closeness since they were both the closest to him in his life.

"Yes, it's been so long. Mianhae Ji Hyo noona, I wasn't able to keep in touch with you as I promised. I've been busy with school and with adjusting to our constant travelling." Joong Ki said with apologetic look on his face.

She really was expecting to hear from him after his vacation and was disappointed when he never contacted her and just heard bits of news about him from Kwang Soo.

"It's okay Joong Ki. I understand your situation then and I've been busy too." Ji Hyo lied.

"But I'm back. This time for a whole sem. I'll be staying here so I guess we'll often see each other." Joong Ki grinned at her. His smile makes her giddy all of a sudden. He is cuter now than the last time she saw him. She could feel her face grow warm from blushing.

"Yap, just like the old times. I miss you bro. Ji Hyo is such a bully and constantly nags. Now you can help me handle her. As far as I can remember, you were the only one who could make Ji Hyo behave like a girl has to."

The boys are just listening to their conversations while munching on their snacks. They were exchanging knowing looks with each other. Gary and Jong Kook looks uncomfortable all of a sudden.

"Yaa Kwang Soo what are you saying. I am not a bully and I don't nag. And if you haven't notice, I am a girl." Ji Hyo said defensively. She could see the furtive glances the boys are making and she doesn't want them to discover her hidden feelings for Joong Ki.

"Well excuse us guys, I'll just help Joong Ki settle first okay. Be right back." Kwang Soo eats another bite of pizza before ushering Joong Ki to the house.

"Talk to you later noona." Joong Ki then wink at her playfully and waved goodbye to the boys before following Kwang Soo.
