My Girl

CHAPTER 7

Ji Hyo woke up feeling a warm breathe tickling her nape. She realize that Kwang Soo had his arms around her waist and they were sleeping in a spoon position.

She smiled to herself feeling contented in his arms. But then she felt a little awkward since it had been a long time since they slept like this.

She carefully removed his hands from her waist not wanting to wake him up. She quietly sits on the side of the bed to collect herself.

"Omo, I've slept for 8hrs without interruptions. That's a first. No wonder I feel so refreshed." She is usually a light sleeper and often wakes up even with slighest sound. But upon looking at her watch she definitely slept continously like a log.

Before getting off bed, she looks at Kwang Soo's sleeping form. He sleeps in a fetal position. He likes to sleep on his sides while hugging a pillow. And for sure he thought she was one.

He looks younger when sleeping since his features are more relax. He really is her best friend among the rest. She can't really imagine her life without him. He was with her all her life, the only constant in her life.

It's selfish of her to be happy knowing that Kwang Soo didn't have a girlfriend. He will surely spend most of his time with her if he had one. And she didn't like the idea of being his second priority. She didn't really want to think about him with someone.

"Ya Ji Hyo, when did you become a selfish brat. Of course you wanted Kwang Soo to find his true love. I'll be the first to be happy and supportive if that happens." She told herself. She didn't feel really sincere and seems like she is just convincing herself.

To keep her mind off things that isn't happening yet (and hopefully not gonna happen in the near future), she went to her room to shower then went to the kitchen to have some breakfast.

"Goodmorning noona. Did you sleep well last night? Come and join me for breakfast." She is so startled to see Joong Ki in the kitchen.

"Oh, Good morning Joong Ki. I was a bit daze this early that I didn't see you." She sits shyly at the chair he pulled for her at his side.

"I thought so. I was already smiling at you when you enter but it's like you didn't see me at all until I spoke." He flashed her a dazzling smile and she felt butterflies on her stomach again.

"Get a hold of yourself Ji Hyo." She mutters to herself while smiling back.

"I haven't seen Kwang Soo yet. He must still be sleeping late as usual." Joong Ki said while offering her bread. He put bacon and egg on her plate as well.

"Yap, he's still on the dreamland guessing from the smile on his face. I didn't even heard his snore all night." She answered absentmindedly.

Joong Ki stopped drinking his tea all of a sudden.

"What did you mean noona?" There was a puzzled look on his face.

"Huh? What?"

"I mean did you check his room before you got here?"

"Oh that. Aniyo, we slept together in his room last night. I just went to my room this morning to shower." She's still clueless to what she was saying to him.

Joong Ki immediately lost his smile and kept quiet. He felt deflated and a little jealous all of a sudden. What if she's the one who likes Kwang Soo. He never imagined that scenario but she could very well have.

He observe her while she's eating happily beside him. He wants to ask her but decided not to since it's not his place to ask her relationship with Kwang Soo or her feelings for him.

"Yaa Joong Ki, why are you staring at me. Come on hurry up so we can catch up with each other. Once Kwang Soo wakes, he will just hoard all your time. We can't talk about what happened to us in the past years." She smiled and eagerly finishes her food.

They went to the veranda overlooking the garden after eating. They brought tea and sits on the chair silently.

"So noona, Are you dating someone?" He thought that was appropriate enough and will at least answer some of his questions.

"Ya Joong Ki why are you asking me such things. Why the sudden interest in my lovelife." She looks at him while smiling shyly.

"Hmm... I'm just curious and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of guys want to date you. You've grown more beautiful and charming than the last time I saw you." He was really surprise to see her yesterday. He can't believe how beautiful she becomes.

Her face looks radiant even without make up. She is simple but never plain. Her hair looks silky soft bound with a ponytail and reach almost to her waist. She's petite but have all the curves at the right place. He particularly likes her big brown eyes that most of the time looks vague that you would do anything to capture her attention so she could really look at you.

Before she could answer, he heard her celfone ring.

"Omo, I'm sorry Joong Ki. I'm used to having my phone with me. If you will excuse me, I'll just take the call." Ji Hyo stands and walk a few feet from him.

He could tell that it wasn't her parents. It's probably one of her admirers. She was whispering on the phone and sometimes looks at him with a blushing face.

"You are such an idiot Joong Ki. Now you have a lot of catching up to do." He mutters to himself.

Although he did find her cute when they were young, but when he went to Hongkong, he completely forgot about her. He only remembered her only when he talked to Kwang Soo since she is all he ever talks about even now. He admitted that he is such a big flirt. At a young age he had a series of flings in his school especially since his classmates are older than him.

And now upon looking at her, he regrets not calling or writing to her when he promised her he would. He saw her laugh without care to whomever she was talking and it makes him jealous knowing he could have been closer to her if only he did what he had promised.

"Omo, mianhae Joong Ki. I was talking to Dong Wook and I forgot about the time. I didn't realize we've been talking so long." She seems happier after talking to whoever that is. He knows he is being irrational getting jealous since he didn't have any right to her.

"Don't worry, I enjoyed looking at you while you were talking anyway." He saw her blush and he felt better knowing he had an effect on her.

"Is he your boyfriend noona? You look genuinely happy when you were talking to him."

"Aniyo, he's one of my best friend. He's not part of Running Man so you didn't know him. But he's close to me next to Kwang Soo."

But he knows now who Dong Wook is. Kwang Soo kept on talking about him being so clingy to Ji Hyo. That he is always trying to steal her from them. And that he is madly in love with her. That Dong Wook.

"Oh I see. It seems like it's hard to be close to you with a lot of guys vying for you. I hope you can spare some time for me too noona." He said with cute puppy dog look.

She burst into laughter when she saw his aegyo. He really is cute. She stopped laughing suddenly when she saw Joong Ki leaning closer to her then touch her face lightly.

"You really amaze me noona. I was deeply regretting not keeping my promise to you. I hope it isn't too late for me yet."
