CHAPTER 6

Ji Hyo decided to sleep at Kwang Soo's house. She feels lonely staying at her own with only the maids to accompany her. But as much as Jong Kook wants to stay as well, his parents called him to say that they will be having a family gathering. The guys all said their goodbyes and leave together.

Kwang Soo on the other hand is still helping Joong Ki settle at his new room.

"Ya Joong Ki, I'm happy you're staying here. It gets lonely especially if mom and dad isn't home." He was lying in Joong Ki's bed looking at him putting his things on the cabinet.

"I'm glad to be here too. It's nice to stay longer here in Korea. Mom and dad are so busy that's why they let me study here." He said while neatly folding his clothes.

"Anyway I didn't know that Ji Hyo noona still sleeps here. I thought she didn't want to anymore since you know, we are all adults already." Joong Ki asked nonchalantly.

"Actually, I was the one who usually discourage her to sleep here. I don't want anyone to think I am taking advantage of her or anything. I only ask her to sleep on rare occasions like if her parents weren't home." Kwang Soo yawn widely. He was tired and sleepy but too excited to have his favorite cousin with him.

He had always look up to him even if they were of same age. Even when they were young, Joong Ki was already matured for his age. He is smart and fun to be with. Since he doesn't have any siblings, Joong Ki is the closest he could ever have as a brother.

"Oh I see. So you are still very close to noona. Can I ask you something Kwang Soo?" He looked at him with a serious expression on his face.

"Sure, you know I never kept any secrets from you."

"Uhm, do you like her?"

"Like who?" He was confused at Joong Ki's question.

"Ji Hyo noona. I know you two are close friends but I want you to tell me honestly if somehow you have develop a deeper feelings for her." Joong Ki often wondered since Kwang Soo never mentioned any girl to him except noona.

"Yaa, why would you ask me something so absurd."

"You know it's possible. She is really beautiful and has many charming qualities. Well unless you prefer a guy." He burst into laughter suddenly.

Kwang Soo throws him a pillow.

"I like girls okay. I have nothing against gays but I am not one. And for Ji Hyo...." He stops and ponder for a while.

"I like her sure, I mean who doesn't. I am very protective of her. I love her but not romanticaly. I mean she was with me all through my whole life. I can't imagine my life without her but thinking of her more than a close friend makes me feel like I'm an asshole or something. It's like taking advantage of her."He exhaled deeply after talking. He knows he's babbling already but topic like this makes him really confused and uncomfortable.

He doesn't really know how to explain it. He really feels deep for her but he can't and refuse to think romantic feelings towards her. He doesn't want to taint their closeness and he doesn't want to be awkward to her. He values her friendship more than anything.

"I guess I can understand your point. I just want to know your inner feelings. I like her you know. I mean I want to get to know her more. I don't see her like a sister or anything so I want to know where this feelings will go." Joong Ki looks at Kwang Soo's reaction.

"But of course if you already have feelings for her you know I won't get in the way. I like her but you are still my cousin."

He seems to be in a deep thought after that because he realized Joong Ki was still talking to him but never understood any word. So he bid him goodnight and went to his room still in deep thought about their conversation.

"Yeoboseyo?"

Ji hyo answered her celfone. She is tired but she can't sleep. She is occupying the room across Kwang Soo's. She knows that he isn't there yet. She wants to stay at his room so she could sleep but she didn't want to bother him with Joong Ki.

"Ya, Ji Hyo I called your house. The maid told me you are sleeping at Kwang Soo's place." Dong Wook's voice broke her musings.

"Omo Dong Wook, I didn't know you need to check my whereabouts now." She isn't really in the mood to explain to him his close friendship with Kwang Soo again. She gets tired of explaining numerous times that her relationship with Kwang soo and the rest of the Running Man are purely platonic.

"Hey, don't get mad Ji Hyo. It's just that.... well nevermind. Anyway...." Ji Hyo didn't hear the rest of what he is saying. Her mind wander again to Joong Ki. He was her first crush. And she didn't know how to react especially since they were both sleeping on the same house.

She likes to think he was just a childhood crush but upon seeing him, she still feels the same butterflies on her stomach.

"Yaa Ji Hyo are you even listening to me?" She felt guilty to Dong Wook.

"I'm sorry Wookie. I am really so tired actually. I think my mind is hibernating already." She could hear his chuckle.

"I'm sure you fell asleep while I was talking. Well sleep well Ji Hyo. And don't forget to lock your door arasso?" Then he laugh while saying goodbye to her.

She really can't stay mad or irritated with him. He really has a way to make her smile.

She decided to take a warm shower to make her fall asleep. As she finished putting on her clothes, she heard a soft knock on her door as she walk out of the bathroom.

"Hey, sorry I'm with Joong Ki. Do you need anything Ji Hyo?" Kwang Soo looks so serious as she answers her door.

"Can I stay at your room for awhile? I can't sleep yet." She feels at ease when she is with him. Maybe she can relax and be able to sleep if she stays with him.

"Yeah sure. I'll just take a shower since I stink already. You can wait in my room if you want."

She went with him and just watch tv while he showers. It really feels comfortable in his room. His bed is so big and soft. She prefers to watch tv while on the bed instead on the sofa on his room.

"Aren't you sleepy? If you want we can watch a movie. Just play whatever movie you want." She was startled when Kwang Soo spoke so suddenly. He was already in his pj's and his hair was still dripping wet.

"Yaa you startled me. Anyway come here. Your hair is dripping, you will catch cold if you don't dry your hair." She towel dried his hair upon snatching in from his hand.

They watch the zombie flick Train to Busan. They were both in his bed while watching. She was leaning her head on his chest. Kwang Soo was easily frightened and often shouts even at the silliest scenes.

Kwang Soo put his arm around her so she would be more comfortable. She finally feels at ease being in his arms and before she knows it, she was sleeping soundly.

Kwang Soo finally noticed Ji Hyo sleeping in his arms already. He was almost tearing up at the ending of the movie when he felt her warm breath on his chest.

He looks at her sleeping form and his conversation with his cousin came back to mind. He tucks the hair that fell to her face.

"I don't really know what I feel for you Ji Hyo. But it makes me happy just to stay like this with you. Goodnight baby." He kissed her forehead. He likes calling her baby. It is his term of endearment for her and she often complains to him to not call her that. He smiles to himself and yawn widely again.

He suddenly fell asleep with her around his arms. He never feels this comfortable for a long time and with her sleeping beside him, it really feels like home.
