My Girl

Chapter 10

Ji Hyo was walking alone in the corridor of her school since her friends went ahead of her because of some other activities. She was still thinking about what her friends told her about Kwang Soo.

"I wonder what's wrong with Kwang Soo. And why didn't he say goodbye to me. It's kinda unusual " She asked herself absentmindedly.

She had to admit that she was distracted the whole day, even had a hard time concentrating on her school work. And then she spent most of her time with Dong Wook and Seolhyun because of a project they were discussing.

"I should go to his house and ask him."

She hurriedly walked outside to find taxi since Kwang Soo usually fetch and brought her home with his car.

Ji Hyo was on her way finding a ride when he saw Joong Ki outside her school leaning in his car. He looks like a model posing for a magazine, no wonder a lot of girls were lingering outside giggling at each other.

"Yaa, What are you doing here?" Ji Hyo walked hurriedly to him.

"Finally, I thought I'll grow roots waiting for you. I've been standing here for an hour already." He was pouting cutely at her.

"Yeah sure, I think you are enjoying the attention the girl's are giving you." She laugh loudly while playfully jabbing him.

"Well, there are indeed a lot of cute girls here but I am waiting particularly for this one unique stunning girl." And he winked at her. She can't help giggle by his obvious flirting and she knew she's red as a tomato.

"Anyway, I came here with high hopes of asking if I can take you to dinner before bringing you home." And with puppy cute eyes look at her.

"Ha, you are lucky I was late and didn't went home with my friends earlier or you would have waited in vain. Anyway, sure I am actually starving."

Joong Ki help her inside his car while the female students outside are still busy checking him out. She saw some of her classmates and begin to blush knowing they will probably talked about seeing her with a guy among themselves.

He drive them to a cute cozy restaurant. There were only a few patrons mostly young couples.They ordered pasta and chicken.

"By the way, have you heard from Kwang Soo today?" Ji Hyo ask him knowing he lives in his home.

"Aniyo, I came to your school as soon as my class ended. In fact, I haven't seen him since yesterday and that is saying much since we live in the same house."

He actually didn't realize it until Ji Hyo asked him. He was busy and distracted the whole day yesterday thinking about how to ask Ji Hyo out and he had an early class today. But it's kind of unusual for Kwang Soo not to seek him at home. They were usually inseparable when he stays with him.

He gaze at her sitting in front of him. She was biting her lower lips absentmindedly. He noticed she did that when she's thinking or curious about something. She looks absolutely gorgeous and she has no idea about how attractive she was.

As much as he loves his cousin, he didn't want to talk about him right now and definitely not want Ji Hyo to think of Kwang Soo instead of enjoying his company.

"Let's not talk about my dear cousin for now okay. I mean I might be boring you if you are thinking about someone else when we should be enjoying our time together."

Ji Hyo jolt from her musings. She blush from embarrasment.

"Mianhae Joong Ki. I didn't mean to offend you. I was just a little worried about Kwang Soo. But you are right, It's not right for me to think of someone else at the moment."

She felt bad for making him feel neglected but she thought it seems impossible not to talk about his cousin since... well... since he is his cousin. But she doesn't want to offend him more so she won't talk or think about Kwang Soo now.

"So what do you want to talk about." Their order arrived and the server is checking out Joong Ki, giving him encouraging smiles. He just politely smile and thank her before looking at her again.

"For starters, let's talk about us, you know since we're going out and all."

She almost spit the juice she was drinking and Joong Ki immediately hand her a napkin. She thought she would have a permanent blush on her face with the way things are going.

"Uhm, sorry about that. You just startled me, I mean I didn't realize there was an "US" already." She was avoiding his penetrating gaze.

"Oh I see, I just thought we are dating already. Wait, I'm not saying we are in a relationship already but after yesterday, I thought I made it clear to you my intent to court you. And that you are allowing me to date you."

She was really naive to this courtship thing. They have different views on dating and courtship. She thought that if they are dating then they must already be a couple right? Well it seems she's behind when it comes to concept of relationship.

"Oh, I'm sorry I'm new to this. I didn't know that when I consent to your courting me we are dating already." She was confused. She really likes him but she doesn't want to be identified with anyone right now. She felt excited, sure, but at the back of her mind is a nagging feeling that she can't figure out.

"Hey it's okay. I'm not pressuring you okay. I mean you are not oblige to exclusively date me if you don't want to." He always forgot how Ji Hyo is different from the girls he had dated before.

"Anyway let's just enjoy each other's company. I assure you that I treasure every moment I have with you."

"Yah stop that. You are making me blush non stop." They both chuckled and eat their food while talking.

Ji Hyo's seat is facing the front of the restaurant so she can easily see who comes in. For the second time, she almost spit her juice again.

Kwang Soo is holding the door for a girl and behind them is Haha and Byul. Her eyes went wide when realization hits her that they were on a double date.

Kwang Soo saw her and lock eyes with her but his forehead creased immediately and then breaks eye contact with her and held the other girl's elbow.

Her eyes starts to water but she resist to let it fall. She can't believe that Kwang Soo was dating behind her back. She was supposed to know first but it seems that he purposely kept it from her.

"Hey, are you alright? What..." Joong Ki look behind him to see what caught her attention and saw Kwang Soo leading a girl inside with Haha and another girl with him.

"Is that Kwang Soo and Haha? Who are those girls?" He was also caught off guard with their sudden appearance. He was confused to see Kwang Soo with someone since he never mention anything to him.

He looks at Ji Hyo and saw the hurt from her eyes. It makes him wonder if it was because she didn't know him dating or of deeper reasons he didn't want to think about.

They could hear them talking and Haha abruptly stop talking when he noticed them. He saw his uncertainty whether to approach or just ignore them. Eventually he saw Haha make his way to them tagging the others with him.

"Hey, fancing meeting you guys here. Mind if we join you guys?"
