"good afternoon Jc." he smiled at me, looking back at his phone as I took a seat on the sofa, sipping my coke. "where are the other guys?"

"they went to go get some food for us. I hope you like Chinese." I smiled and nodded, pulling out my laptop. "do you happen to know the wifi here?"

he stood up, "yeah." and leaned over my shoulder, pressing his chest onto my back and breathing softly against my neck. my breathing hitched as he typed in the password to 'HMIL'.

"there ya go." he looked at me, and I gave him a warm smile. "thanks."

he nodded and took a seat next to me. "so where are you from, nurse brooks?"

I shifted and sat Indian style on the black couch, "I'm from America, California to be exact." he nodded. "I'm from Texas. I grinned at him, "how old are you, Jc?" "I'm 25. what about you?"

"22, straight outta uni." Kian and Tom burst through the door, holding up three bags. "we got food."

I helped them set it out on the table and turned on the small tv. "the only thing we can watch is American Horror Story." Kian said, stuffing his face with noodles.

I rolled my eyes at the lack of options the place gave us. "how ironic."

a scream and came from outside, making a shiver shoot down my back. I shot up and walked to the door, "I'll be back in a second." Tom threw a pepper spray bottle at me and I looked at him in confusion. "just in case."

I nodded and walked to the corridor. everything seemed normal. Luke was watching me, Phil was asleep, Sebastian was writing on the walls, Damien was staring at a wall, Dan was watching me with a smile on his face, and Fran?

she was staring at me with her big blue eyes that reminded me so much of Phil. they were filled with tears and her cheeks swelled. I unlocked the cell and picked her up, resting her on my hip. "hey, what's wrong?" she whimpered. "I miss my family. when will they come back?''

my heart pinged with sympathy. she was so young, so innocent. she shouldn't be here. she had a whole life ahead of her. there was nothing wrong with her, she was just simply lonely. "fran honey, your family is in a better place. they're always here though. they're watching you everyday and they're so proud of what a beautiful little girl you are becoming."

she smiled up at me, sniffling slightly. "will you be my new mommy?" I shook my head, giggling at her slightly. "I can't be your mommy, Fran. but I'll try my hardest to keep you safe and happy, ok?" I put her down on her pink bed and she nodded. "ok."

I grinned down at her, "try and get some sleep darling. I'll be back later and we can draw, ok?" she nodded and I tucked her in, and soon enough small snores were escaping her mouth. I turned around to see Dan standing behind me. I jumped out of surprise and put my hand over my heart. "Jesus Christ, Dan. how are you out of our cell?" he smirked at me, putting his finger to my mouth, silencing me. "nothing you need to worry about, sweetheart."

I glanced back at the young girl, who was shifting in her sleep, "you should head back, I don't want to wake her." I started waking out of the room, Dan following me.

"when do our therapy sessions start, Delilah?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "you address me as nurse brooks, and it starts in about two hours."

he nodded. "great, thanks Delilah." I rolled my eyes and lead him back to his cell. "get in." he shook his head. "no." I looked at him with a stern expression. "mr. howell, don't make me call security."

he back me up against the bars, slipping his arms around my waist. I gulped, gazing into his chocolate brown eyes. "I'd like to see you try, darling. I'll tell them that you harassed me and I have the bruises to prove it." he held up his arm, showing bruises along his wrist.

"h-how did you-"

"get away from her, Howell." Dan turned around to see Kian standing there with a gun in his hands. my eyes widened, as Dan rolled his eyes and walked back into the cell. "and the key."

Dan sighed and handed over a key that had his name engraved on it. "you'll be skipping dinner tonight." I took a last glance at Dan, who had sadness written in his eyes. at times I felt bad for him, but I knew that looks could be deceiving.

"I'll see you later, Dan." he looked down at me and gave me a weak smile before turning around and sitting on the floor, staring at the wall.
