31: All These Little Things

Chapter Thirty-One

As we approached the beast, my hands were already sweaty out of nervousness.

"Yah, should I run? I don't really have the interest to ride that thing." I whispered to Hoshi.

"Aish. What are you talking about?" He said and hold on my my wrist to restrict me from running away.

The three us of us chose a seat where we feel comfortable when we enter.

As we seated silently, a man came over to me and helped me secure my lap bar and over-the-shoulder harness (OTS harness).

"Is this your first time, lady?" The man asked.

He was maybe in his 40s yet he still looked really well.

I nodded a couple of times. He just chuckled and finished securing my restraints.

"Don't worry. You'll be fine." He said and gave me a warm smile. I smiled back but held a tight grip on the harness.

How does he know that I'll really be safe? My heartbeat is thumping so fast that I could feel it in my throat.

"How do you feel?" Hoshi asked as he noticed that I was holding on too tight on my OTS harness.

"Dizzy." I replied shaking.

My heart is throbbing so fast that I thought I was going to faint.

"Here, you can hold my hand if you're scared." Joshua commented as he offered his hand.

I looked at him and smiled awkwardly.

I was in between the two of them. Woozi was beside Hoshi. I was hoping that I wouldn't be in between the two of them, but I was to scared to think that my restraints would break and I'd be thrown out of the ride.

"I-It's okay. I'll be fine." I replied awkwardly.

He withdraw his hand and just smiled.

Just as I was getting comfortable at my seat, the machine suddenly started moving up slowly. My grip tightened on my harness as I shut my eyes close.

"Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. It's starting. It's starting. Omo. Omo!" I retorted as I feel my insides wabble.

"Yah yah. It'll be fine. Don't worry. Keep calm." Hoshi assured.

I breathe in slowly and out.

"Okay. I'm calm~"

"Yah. Open your eyes! It's a beautiful sight!" Hoshi shouted like a kid.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked far away. The nervousness inside me disappeared in a glance.

The scene was so amazing. I could see almost the whole area of the amusement park. It was awesome!

Suddenly the ride creeked.

"What-- What's happening? W-What should we do now? Shouldn't we go back down?!" I said panicking, again.

We were at the middle now and it's already too high for me!

"We wait for the fun to begin." Joshua answered.

"Whoa! This is so tall! We're more than 100 feet from the ground!" Woozi shouted as he wiggled his feet below.

"Oh my goodness. Lord please help me and don't let my soul be left in the air." I prayed.

We were at the top already. I was so scared that it'll just surprisingly fall down.

"To keep your mind off things, just talk. Don't think about iiiiittttt-- ahhhhhhh!!!" Hoshi was talking and we were listening when the drop suddenly happened.
