Chapter Twenty-Eight10:00am
I was staring at my phone, thinking about my dad, my mom. I wonder what she looked like when she got old. I wonder if she ever thought about me. Did she ever forgot my name?
I scanned through my messages to shove that thought away and saw Joshua's message. He never did texted me after that last message he sent me yesterday.
I wonder how his doing. I hope his doing well. I don't want to keep in touch with him yet. It's just complicated.
"You're going to like my place Dohee-ah... Oh, I mean OUR place. It's mom's dream house." Oppa suddenly said smiling as his eyes were on the road.
He was driving his car and Dara eonni was beside him. I was at the back seat with Levi.
I just smiled at his cheerful energy.
"So, here we are!" Oppa said as he stopped the car.
We travelled for like 25 minutes only.
I scanned the area and there were houses on each side of the street. It like a subdivision of old but beautiful houses.
The houses looked antique yet it is so pretty and elegant. They were huge!
It's like the old houses of Koreans; with brick roofs, elevated wooden floors and thick white colored paper like thing framed with wood for doors and windows.
The neighborhood was really peaceful too and I could see some grandmothers outside their houses, watering the plants in their garden.
Dara eonni went out and walk towards a house with a white wide fence. I guess this is oppa's house. It looks great outside. I wonder how it is inside.
Dara eonni opened the small gate and later on, the big gate opened.
The only thing I could say is, "Whoa~ this place is magical."
Oppa just chuckled at my statement as he parked the car inside the residence.
The house was of the same theme as the houses outside; brick roofs, elevated wooden floor and stuffs. The thing that was different was that it was huge! And the design was mixed with modern stuffs.
There's also a little garden with a few bushes and flowers. It was antique looking but it's really cool.
"The wood looks so sturdy. And the floor... Oh my goodness, I could sleep here!" I said amused by the things I saw.
The floor was well furnished and very shiny.
Oppa just chuckled as he got my luggage.
We left our shoes and sandals on the rack and went inside the house.
The inside is really nice and calming. It was of yellowish white and cream white. What shocked me was that there's a second floor. How did they even do this. Outside it looked like it's just a one storey house.
"Our bedrooms are upstairs. Come. There are a few rooms there so you can pick your room." Oppa said as he was dragging my luggage upstairs.
I just followed him and helped by pushing the luggage.
When we reached the second floor, we stopped for a while.
"So, as you can see we have 4 bedrooms here. Each room has their own bathroom and closet." Oppa said. "You can choose your room dongsaeng. And by the way, that door way over there, is the master's bedroom... MY bedroom." He added.
Should I tell him about my work in NY? It's bothering me that he's excited to live with me but I might have to get back to NY for my work.
"Oppa, I have to tell you something." I said.
