37: Surprise!

Chapter Thirty-Seven

"You haven't slept." Dk said looking at my dark circles.

"Eo~ Dohee called yesterday." I replied with a weak smile.

"Really?! So that means!!!"

I just nodded sleepily. What time did I actually sleep? I rested my head on the counter. I hope she didn't get mad because I slept on her.

"Yah~ you lucky little man." Dk said with a grin.

"Who're you calling little man?" Woozi butted in with a tray of cookies.

I unconsciously bursted into a weak laugh even though I was sleepy.

"YAH! You shut it Hoshi." Woozi warned. "Here, try out my cookies. I think they taste better than the other one."

"I hope so." DK commented.

I bursted into laughter once more earning a death glare from Woozi. My laugh faded as I grab a cookie.

DK and I took a bite.

"Woozi ... did you put a gallon of salt in your mixture?" I said with a sour look.

"YAH!" Woozi shouted raising a hand ready to slap me.

"Tsk! Ahyoung noona will be so disappointed." DK butted in making Woozi stop.

Ahyoung is Woozi's crush. She lives 2 floors down my apartment. We knew her during the birthday party of one of Woozi's classmate. She was so friendly that Woozi fell for her.

He's learning to bake for her because he learned that she's taking baking lessons in a university since she's running a coffee shop. He planned on giving it to her on their 500 days knowing each other. He definitely counted every day of his life. What a corny little dude.

He sighed. "What a waste. I guess I have to make a new mixture again. You two... Stay."

It was his 3rd try already today and all were terrible. Yesterday he made some too. Some were burnt and some weren't really cooked yet.

He woke us up early today to be tasters. Thankfully we haven't felt anything weird in our stomachs yet.

I groaned. "Woozi-ah, make sure to read and follow the instructions okay?"

He just gave me frown then went back to baking.

I grabbed my phone and checked my messages. Dohee texted... It was 38 minutes ago.

Hey~ how's your sleep? I hope you had a good rest. Take care of yourself there, I'll make sure to take care here as well. xoxo. I miss your chubby face.

I smiled at her message.

"Chubby face?" DK said and laughed.

"Why? Why? Is there something wrong with it huh?" I replied in an annoyed manner.

He just smiled creepily at me and I gave him a frown in return. I looked at her message again and smiled silently.

I hope she's really okay.

Suddenly my phone rang again. It was Chanyeol hyung.

Eo hyung!

Hoshi, I need you to do something.

What?
