(O.D.D.- I added some SOMA music.  It's pretty peaceful to listen to. ( ^ω^ ))

"So, Simon....are you really a robot?"

Cry gazed curiously at the diving suit in front of him.

They were in the game-world of SOMA.

Red eyes flickered on and off for a split second, causing Cry to think that the other just 'blinked'.

"Well....it's kind of hard to explain...."

Simon lifted a metallic hand to rub the back of his helmet.

"It may sound strange to you, but I had a brain scan a few hundred years ago. I found out that my brain scan was used for a new special project to help save humanity....or something."

Simon waved his hand carelessly before sighing, a breath that sounded like grating metal.

"Catherine told me what happened--the world's flooded and there are maniac robot-beasts that are trying to keep real humans alive with machines."

Raven tilted her head--almost childishly--with curiosity.

"Who's Catherine?"

"I'm Catherine."

The disembodied voice came from the top corner of the room, where the group of humans found a small speaker. The female voice spoke up once more.

"Hello to you all of you newcomers. My name is Catherine. I'm in a case similar to Simon, but....my brain scan has been moved to an Omnitool, which Simon takes around with him to the different bases."

Simon nodded in confirmation.

Cry hummed thoughtfully before cringing mentally.

'Aw sh**....we're gonna run into those WAU monster dudes or something...I never liked them...'

The brunet shuddered at the memory of getting killed by one of them multiple times.

Suddenly, the entire place shook violently, causing the group to stumble slightly.

The lights flickered for a while before....

....Turning off completely.

The room was plunged into darkness, causing Mark and Pewds to yelp in shock.

Mark chuckled hysterically.

"Hohohohohoho~noooooooooooo!"

Simon's red 'eyes' darted around the room.

"Catherine!  Do you think you can turn the lights back on?"

"I'll see what I can....no.  Sorry, nothing's working."

Cry sighed and snapped the fingers of his left hand.

Blue sparks of electricity lit up the room they were in.

Pewds collapsed comically on the ground while putting a hand to his chest for dramatization.

"Oh thank God, Cry.  Thanks bro!"

Cry gave a thumbs up and grinned beneath his mask.
