Twenty Three

It was Friday and Alex still hasn't came home. I never saw him at school and he never answered my calls or texts. I don't know why I even bothered texting him because I was pissed at him. I also haven't talked to Grayson either, the only two people I'm talking to are Allison and Ethan. I think Grayson has finally given up and isn't trying to talk to me anymore. I'm glad because I still don't want to talk to him. But I can't run away from this situation.

I got through my first 4 classes and I didn't see Alex anywhere and I barely saw Grayson. When lunch came around I didn't see Alex sitting at the table with Grayson, Ethan and Nate. I just ignored it and sat down at the table with Allison. As I ate my lunch I saw Brooke walk by and after 5 days I finally saw my brother, his arm war wrapped around Brooke as they walked to her table. Brooke looked back at me and smirked. I let out a light laugh.

"Un fucking believable" I said and I saw Brooke and Alex turn around. I don't understand why this always happens at lunch but it does and I feel like everyone in the cafeteria is always ready to watch it.

"Is their a problem?" Brooke asked walking over to me with Alex.

"I know what you're doing Brooke, my brother on the other hand is so far up your ass he doesn't see it." I said standing up from my seat. I saw Grayson turn around to see what was going on.

"She's not doing anything Ari" Alex spoke up and I looked at him shocked.

"Woah, did my brother actually speak to me? Did he actually talk to me after 5 days?! I can't believe it, I'm so relieved. Oh wait I don't give a fuck anymore" I said walking closer to them and I saw Alex get extremely angry.

"You are literally being played by her Alex! You are so delusional you actually think she wants to be with you! And you think you want to be with her! You both are trying to get back at me!" I shouted at both of them and Brooke rolled her eyes.

"That sounds like someone else I know. Oh yeah, you and Grayson! You think he actually cares about you? He wants to get into your pants and you're just so desperate that you're falling for it!" Brooke said and that just made me want to yell back at her.

"Brooke you're mad cause I'm dating someone who you used to go to when you wanted a casual fuck but you can't anymore! And Alex, you're pissed because I'm dating your best friend! Well you both are going to have to stop being 5 and grow the fuck up!" I shouted and I saw Alex refrain from yelling at me instead he walked out of the cafeteria. I decided to follow him.

"What the fuck are you mad about?!" I shouted catching up to him.

"You are dating Grayson!" Alex shouted and I couldn't help but scream at him.

"You have no fucking right to be mad at me! You left me, your sister! For Brooke! 5 days I didn't know where you were, you didn't answer my calls or reply to my texts! As much as I was pissed I was still worried because I care! But oh God for bid I date someone who makes me happy and you fucking disown me?!" I shouted running my fingers through my hair.

"How does he make you happy?! He made you miserable a month ago!" Alex shouted and I shook my head.

"People change Alex! Not everyone is like
Brooke!" I shouted and I saw him get mad but I don't understand why he gets so defensive over Brooke!

"I know Grayson! This isn't going to last!" Alex shouted and this hurt me that he has no faith in me and my relationship.

"Can you stop being so negative! I would really appreciate if you were here for me! And support my relationship!" I shouted and he let out a little laugh that made him look like he was crazy.

"Why the hell would I support this relationship! Ari, he just wants to get into your pants he doesn't have feelings for you! It's Grayson!" Alex shouted and that made me extremely pissed.

"Do you hear yourself!! Do you hear how you're talking about your 'best friend' Grayson makes me happy! Unlike you and Brooke! Brooke is using you just to make me mad!" I shouted and Alex lightly tugged at his hair.

"I will not support this bullshit! Yours and graysons relationship isn't real!" Alex shouted

"Yes it is! You are in such denial you don't want to open your eyes and see that we are happy!" I felt like I've explained myself at least 10 times so far.

"I'll support your relationship when you support mine with Brooke." Alex said and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't even bother coming home! when she fucks you over good luck finding a place to live because I never want to be in the same house as you!" I shouted before turning around to see Grayson. I quickly started walking the other way outside of the school.

"Ari!" Grayson came up behind me tugging on my hand. I quickly turned around and hugged him. I didn't know why. but I needed him right now, putting everything aside for these few minuets while I cried into his chest. He rubbed my back while laying a soft kiss on the top of my head.

"He is such an asshole!" I said as I cried and Grayson tightened his grip around me.

"I know, babe" Grayson tried to calm me down

"He's the only family I have, I-I don't know w-what I'm going to d-do!" I said sobbing

"What?" Grayson asked and I realized he doesn't know about my family. I just shook my head and kept crying.

"Give me your car keys" Grayson said before I pulled away from the hug and handed him the keys.

"Why?" I asked sniffling

"Let's go" Grayson said taking my hand and walking to my car. He sat in the drivers seat and I sat in the passengers.

"What are we doing we have class." I told Grayson while I wiped my eyes. But he turned the car on and drove out of the school. He kept one hand on the steering wheel the other placed on my thigh.

After about 15 minuets we pulled up to this secluded parking lot and it was right by the jersey shore.

"I come here when I'm stressed out, sad, angry" Grayson told me as he shut the car off and rolled the windows down. We listened to the sounds of the waves and the light breeze. I took a few deep breathes and tried to relax. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes trying to forget about everything.

"Thank you" I told Grayson while keeping my eyes closed. He took my hand in his and I slowly opened my eyes to look at him.

"I am crazy for letting myself come here with you." I told him and a light smile appeared on his face.

"I know, but I want to fix this. I don't want to lose you, so right now ask me any questions you want to know and I'll answer them! I don't want to keep anything from you" Grayson said and I knew he was being sincere and he was going to have an answer to whatever I asked but I didn't know where to start.
