Fourty Six

It was the day after prom and I had the biggest head ache. Honestly that was probably the worst night of my life. If there was one night I could just erase it would be last night.

"Can you believe we only have 3 weeks until summer" Andrea said as we walked to get lunch.

"I can't wait to be a senior. So I can be a step closer to moving to LA" I spoke up and they looked at me confused.

"LA? Why are you moving there?!" Phoebe asked and in just shrugged my shoulders.

"I have a good job, I make a good amount of money, I have that college money my parents left me. Why not move to LA. Especially if I get into USC." I told them and they nodded there heads.

"Well, as long as we're coming with you" Andrea said making us all laugh.

"So how's Drew?" Andrea changed the subject

"I'm not really feeling it." I told them and they looked at me confused.

"You felt it last night" Phoebe nudged me. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Ok, I'm physically attracted to him but not emotionally." I told them and they understood.

"So what are you gonna do?" They asked

"I mean we're having fun, and hopefully I'll feel that emotionally connection soon" I explained because I really like Drew, I like having him around I like spending time with him. I just can't stop thinking about Grayson.

"I just can't wait for summer" I spoke up as we walked in silence.

"Same. What are we gonna do?" Andrea asked

"I'm flying down to LA the whole summer. To look at colleges and stuff" I told them and they stopped in their tracks

"Hello, sign us up!" They both shouted and we all got excited because they wanted to come with me to LA.

We were back at school and I did not want to be here. I just wanted to be at home.

"Ari, you down for lunch today?" Drew asked walking up to my locker.

"Sure!" I closed my locker and walked with him.

"Sweet I'll drive" he said before kissing me on the lips and running to class. I stopped in my tracks as soon as he kissed me. Did he just kiss me? I felt a small smile creep on my face before starting to walk again.

"So he just kissed you?" Andrea asked

"Yeah, total nonchalant peck on the lips" I told them as we walked out of class.

"I don't think it meant anything..." I said not even believe myself.

"It had to mean something" Phoebe said as we walked out into the parking lot.

"Guess you'll find out" Andrea said looking behind me and they both walked away.

"Hey I'm parked right over there" drew came up next to me and we walked to his car.

As I went to open his car I saw Grayson getting in the car with some girl. Before he started the car he leaned over and kissed her.

I took a deep breath and got into Drews car.

"Wanna do chick-fil-a?" He asked and I nodded my head as we drove.

"So, about earlier." Drew spoke up, lowering the music.

"Yeah" I said smiling at him.

"I mean, listen if it was one of those things where you kind of just weren't thinking and went for it. I'm fine with that." I told him as I turned a little to face him.

"No, I mean I wasn't thinking when I did that. But, I wanted it to happen. I mean eventually" he kept his eyes on the road.

"Eventually?" I asked

"Yeah, like if you were my girlfriend. I'd be able to do that more often" he said kind of laughing because I don't think he even got what he was saying.

"Are you just saying that or are you asking?" I asked and he laughed.

"I'm asking" Drew laughed as he turned to smile at me. When he smiled at me I felt my heart beat a little fast. His perfectly straight white teeth. And his olive colored skin, the brown hair swept out of his face. His full lips. I mean how could I not like him. He is the sweetest guy, has the best personality and he cares so much about me.

"Well I'm answering... yeah" I said and he let out a breath before taking my hand.

We pulled up to chick-fil-a and walked inside. After we ordered we sat at a table waiting for our names to be called.

"So this weekend I wanted to take you on a real date" Drew said and I smiled

"That sounds great!" I got excited which made him laugh.

They called our orders. We got them and walked back to the car.

It's now Friday meaning I have almost less than a month until I go to LA

"Ari!" I heard someone shout my name and I turned around to see Ethan. We walked together to our next class

"Hey" I smiled at him

"Dude, we have to hang out this weekend. I haven't seen you in forever" Ethan nudged me

"I'm down!" I nudged him back

"Great I'll text you!" He said walking away to his classroom.

This was my last period, the period I have with Grayson.

"Since we only have 2 weeks left I decided to change your seats" My teach said, I was so confused to why she wouldn't just let us stay in the same seats for the last 10 days.

"Everyone stand up" she gestured with her hands. We all stood up and walked to the front of the class.

"Mike you're sitting here next to rose" she started giving out seating arrangements.

"Arianna you'll be right here" she pointed to a seat.

"Let's see who am I missing." She looked at the 5 people still standing in the front of the room.

"Oh, Grayson go ahead and sit right there. I need you in the front of the class" she patted his back.

My heart dropped when I heard her say his name. He pulled the chair out and sat next to me.

We haven't spoke since we fought that night and I don't think we will be speaking anytime soon.

"Heard you're dating Drew now." He spoke up

Never mind turns out we are taking much sooner than expected.

"I don't think that concerns you" I glanced at him.

"It doesn't, but just be careful" he whispered before our teacher stared speaking.

Be careful? Is he just trying to scare me or does he know something.
