Fourty One

I woke up this morning early because I slept all day yesterday. It was 8:00 and the sun was beaming through my bedroom curtains. I slowly grabbed my phone to check my notifications. I saw I had one text from Grayson.

Thanks for last night. I owe you

I rolled my eyes and shut my phone off. This is ridiculous I can't believe that he thinks this whole thing is ok.

I was staring at the text from Grayson and I got a call from Ethan.

Hey. Wanna come over? He asked me

Ari: sure. I'll be there soon.

I hung up the phone and got dressed. I didn't want to go over but I want to hang out with Ethan.

I pulled up to the house and walked up to the front door. After knocking a few times Grayson answered the door and my heart dropped.

"Hey. Come in" he said and he walked back to his place on the couch.

"Ethan should be down any minuet" Grayson said watching the TV.

After about 5 minuets of silence he spoke up.

"About last night." Grayson turned to face me

"I don't understand how you thought that was ok!" I turned to face him

"It's not what it looked like! Please just listen!" He begged so I stayed quiet and let him talk

"She is my tutor I asked her to tutor me in geology because I'm failing. I guess she thought in some way I wanted to hook up with her so when I got there to study she was naked so I called you! I don't know why I called you. You were the first person I thought I could count on" He confessed and what he was saying seemed true because I remember him telling me about failing geology when we were dating.

"I would never do that to you! Especially after the other night." He scooted closer to me

"So I was thinking we could go get lunch!" Ethan interrupted walking into the living room.

"I'm down" I said getting up and walking over to him.

"Bye gray!" Ethan shouted before walking out the door I looked back at him and lightly smiled at him before leaving.

"So is kinda craving chipotle but if you don't want chipotle we can do CPK or- Ari? ARI!" Ethan snapped me out of my thoughts.

I couldn't stop thinking about the other night. The deal I wanted to make with Grayson. Should we talk about that?

"Oh yeah chipotle is fine" I snapped out of it and continued to look at the road.

"so I heard there is another party tonight. It's at James' house tonight. We should go!" Ethan said before taking a bite out of his taco.

"I'm down!" I sipped my drink

We pulled up to Ethan's house and I decided to go inside with him.

Grayson sat on the couch and Ethan quickly ran upstairs.

"So are you going to James' tonight?" I asked him.

I sat myself down on the couch next to him.

"Yeah are you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"So about that deal I wanted to make the other night." I spoke up and Grayson looked at me with wide eyes.

"The whole hooking up one?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"Is that a deal?" I asked him and he looked at me shocked.

"Ari-" but I cut him off.

"It's a yes or no question." I turned to face the TV.

"I have to think about it" he turned and faced the TV.

I got to James party and saw a bunch of farmiliar faces.

"Ari!" I heard someone shout and through the crowd of people I saw Grayson pushing through.

"Are you hooking up with anyone tonight?" He asked me and I shook my head because I didn't have my eye on anyone.

"Then it's a deal!" He shouted over the music before cupping my face, pulling me in and we made out.
