Ashish's POV:

It was the day we had to start for the trip. The authorities said that the buses starts at 7:00 pm from the school, so that, we could reach our destination resort by 6:00 am the next day.

My dad has dropped me and Rehan to the school 15 mins earlier in his car. By that time most of them has already arrived. We kept our luggage in the bus and started waiting for Manish. The lighting started to fail slowly because of summer.

Soon Preeti, Bhanu, Sruthi also arrived one by one, but Manish, he didn't come till now and not even answering the calls.

It's already 7:00 pm and thank god the bus didn't start. After a minutes a car came and stopped near the bus. Manish and Naina got down from that. So, she is the reason for his late arrival.

"Do you know what's the time now?" I asked Manish a bit angrily, getting nearer to them.

"Actually, Naina...," I cut him off.

"I know that it would be because of her. After all, we all know that she is late latheef," I said, smirking at her, but she gave a smile and went towards the bus with her luggage. What? Did she give a smile to me? I was shocked by her behavior and scrunched my eyebrows in confusion, staring at her going away.

I turned towards Manish with the same confusion and he said, "I think she wants to talk with you."

"About what?" I asked him, raising my eyebrows.

"About your revenge," he said casually, lifting his luggage from the ground. Listening to him, my right palm turned into a fist. Seeing this Manish spoke again, "Ashish calm down. Even she felt bitter after knowing that your name is removed from the Zonal team. So, you cannot decide that she is the incentive for this by listening to rumors."

"I'm not deciding. It's the fact that she is the incentive for my sorrow. It's not one person who said against her, there are many. And she'll never feel bitter for my sorrow. She feels happy and she is covering that in front of you guys," I said everything in one go, gritting my teeth. "Moreover, why did you even let her know that my name is removed?"

"That's because I want this misunderstanding to be cleared between you two. I'm sure she is not the incentive for this and I believe her," Manish said.

"So, you are saying that you won't believe me?" I asked him feeling dejected.

"I believe you, not the rumors and you are believing the rumors," Manish said.

"What does that mean?" I asked, confused with his words.

"Think about that," he said as if it's a simple thing.

"Guys! If you both finished arguing, can we get into the bus?" Rehan asked as if he got exhausted because of us.

"Yeah! Let's go. Forgot to tell you. Naina is not the reason for our late arrival. It's me. I forgot to take my mobile in a hurry, so, we went back in the middle," Manish said, defending Naina to which I just rolled my eyes.
