I felt a jolt in my leg that led me to my awakening. As my eyes slowly tried to open, I could not see a single thing dahil wala pang bukas na ilaw. I extended my arms to the table beside my bed and blindly searched for my phone. Nang nakuha ko ito, I immediately slide it open and to my surprise it's just 3:27 am. There are some unread messages and notifications in my phone but I felt like I just want to go back to sleep right now dahil may training pa kami bukas.

What seemed like forever passed but still I can't get back to sleep. Kinuha ko yung phone ko and it's already 4:03 am. Medyo maaga kasi akong nakatulog kagabi kaya siguro maaga rin akong nagising. If I try harder to sleep, for sure it's just going to make my head throb in pain so I decided to get up. Slowly, inangat ko yung blanket ko off my body and as silently as possible tumayo ako sa bed. I didn't dare to open any lights so I wouldn't bother Ara and Yeye who are peacefully sleeping in their beds. Nasa 3rd floor ang room namin so I made my way down to the first floor and hopefully I could find something to do before anyone else gets up.

Nang makarating ako sa baba, a single light in the corner of the living room is turned on. A familiar body built with just a tank barely covering her body is sitting there. Pieces of crumpled papers were scattered on the floor and even on her table. Pencils are just laid down messily beside her. This is probably Cyd. She's the only Lady Spiker with an artistic side. Though I never knew that our living room is her 3 in the morning go-to art studio. I walked up to her as quietly as possible so I wouldn't distract whatever she is doing. As I had a glimpse of her work, I could see a perfectly drawn blank face. The jaw of the faceless portrait is as if it was chiseled in to perfection and the body just looks like athletic as an olympian. With this, I am guessing this is a man's portrait.

I slowly placed my head on her shoulder and to my surprise she didn't move an inch.

"Late night hits huh?" I asked her.

"Well if I would've known you'll be up by this time, I could've done something special for you." hindi pa niya ako tinitingnan but she knows that it's me.

Cyd continued sketching as I pulled a chair from the side and sat beside her.

"Damn." I spoke again. "Grabe naman yang katawang yan."

"Hot right?" I could see a smirk from the side of her face as she strokes more lines to the very detailed body of a man. Too detailed if you ask me. "Papi ba, Fajardo?"

I took an inch closer to her to have a better view of her artwork. Medyo marami pang light sketchy lines kaya medyo madumi pa yung drawing paper niya. This just perfectly describes Cyd as a person. She is a very smart girl, though at first she could get a little reckless with everything. But once she gets a clear view of what she wants, she does it with perfection. Just like every of her artwork.

"Late night hits to late night cravings real quick ba yan Cyd?" I teased her.

"Bitch." she rolled her eyes. "I don't crave for guys Kim."

"Ah oo nga kasi may Cal ka pala." banat ko ulit sa kanya.

Now it figures. Siguro nga si Cal yung nasa sketch pad niya ngayon which is not even half way done. Cal is Cyd's long time boyfriend. If I'm not mistaken they've been together for almost 3 years now.

"Kamusta nga pala kayo?" I followed up my statement.

Cyd seemed to ignore me. Or maybe she is just too focused sa kanyang drawing kaya hindi niya ako narinig.

"Hmmm." I hummed, still her eyes are glued to the paper that her hands are holding as if it is a very precious paper.

I looked around the living room and I can't blame Cyd for turning this into her art studio at this time of the day. Ang peaceful ng surroundings niya and once the sun rises, for sure the lighting here would be the best for her.
