I looked out the window to see that Adam and Ethan were still occupied in the back yard.
"Skylar!" I heard my mom's voice call from downstairs.
"Yeah?!" I called back.
"Your popcorns done!!"
"Okay!" I said and ran downstairs.
I poured the just popped popcorn into two large bowls. "This is gonna be SICK!!" I said cackling at me and Jacobs individual GIGANTIC popcorn bowls.
"You mean we're gonna BE sick!" I heard a voice say from the door.
"Jacob!!" I said as I turned to the source of the voice. I ran to hug him and I practically knocked him over.
"Woah! We haven't even been apart for more and 3 hours!!" We both laughed.
"I don't care, I'm CRAZY excited!!!" I said. "Ooo, we HAVE to stay up watching scary movies!!!" I said jumping up and down.
"Wow." Jacob chuckled. "You're SUPER hyper!"
"Yeah, well I don't care!!" I said giggling. I grabbed the bowls of popcorn since Jacob had to carry his luggage. But he took his bowl from me anyway since he didn't want me to have to carry it all by myself.
"Okay." I said after he offered to take his popcorn bowl. And even though I said I was fine he did.
"What?" He turned around to look at me as we went up the stairs.
"First you carry me back to my car, and now you're helping me carry things upstairs?? What's up with you?" I laughed.
"What do you mean? What's so weird about that?" He cocked his head.
"Nothing." I said. "I mean it's really nice of you, but that's the thing. Why are you being so nice?" I said curious.
"You're my friend." Jacob said shyly.
"Well, my other friends don't do stuff like this for me." I said jokingly.
He stopped and turned around. We were right outside my room now. "What friend?!" He said seriously.
"Um, my best friend since Kindergarten, Courtney." I said wondering why the heck he cared.
"Oh." He said embarrassed and loosened up.
