You want to. I can feel it in you. You are standing in these streets and you want to cause mayhem. Don't. Prove to me you can change.

I looked around. People stared at me in fear. I inhaled and stuck my hands in my jacket pockets. Alright. This is the weirdest thing I've ever done. I walked down the street, my shadow behind me. People backed away. They feared me. A little girl no more than seven noticed that I was doing no harm and ran up to me.

Here is your first test. Choose wisely.

The little girl's mother gasped as her child ran towards me. I squatted down. The little girl looked at me and smiled.

"Hello, little girl." I glanced at her mother who was staring at me in horror. "Your mother seems quite afraid that your near me."

"That's because she doesn't know. I do, though."

"Know what?"

The little girl looked at her mother then back at me. "That your different. Your not the same."

"And how is that, little one?"

The little girl took my hand and placed it on hers. "Because she has faith in you."

The little girl walked back to her mother. The mother inhaled and looked at me. Her eyes looked me up and down. She smiled and walked off.

You just earned some trust. Congratulations. Your one step closer.

I sighed and stood up. My insides didn't feel the same. Was I changing? Because I didn't like it, but I was trying to find this girl that I used to know. This was going to work out, right? It had to. I was becoming someone knew for this person I didn't know. Walking down the street, I began to wonder just exactly who she was. Did I really know her? Or was I chasing a ghost?
