Back to how it was

I was laying on my back halfway asleep when the door opened slowly. Footsteps tiptoed towards me. A hand ran over my bare chest before touching my lips. Tears silently dripped onto my face.

"I remember you." Harley ran a hand through my hair. "It all came back."

My breathing halted as Harley kissed my lips. I grabbed her and pulled her on top of me. She shrieked.

"I thought you were asleep." Harley looked at me with the eyes of the woman I remember.

"How could I? You remember me."

Harley smiled. "Mistah J, why yesterday was everyone so scared of us?"

I sighed and pushed her hair away from her face. "Because, Pooh, in order to get you back I had to change. I had to stop being evil."

Harley gasped. "What? Puddin, tell me you didn't."

"I did, Pumpkin. I don't kill anymore."

"But why?"

I sighed. "Because I loved you."

Harley looked at me with a sad look. "If you don't kill, then I won't."

I smiled and kissed her forehead. Harley giggled. It brought back so many memories. Some of them would never happen again. It didn't matter now. I had her back. That's all that mattered. Nothing else did. Harley slipped away from me and went to the bathroom. Memories lied there, too. There were memories everywhere. Sighing, I stood up and went to my office. The desk focused in my vision. That is where she lied as I dug a bullet out of her shoulder. Blood no longer remained for it never existed, but I could still see it. I can still see everything, and I always will.
