Blake's POV

"Who's house is this, anyways?" I asked as Alan and I hopped the fence. I was surprised by how much this place lacked security. If I were living here, I would have it severely secure.

"Do you listen to music, Blake?" Alan asked as he easily opened the back door and stepped inside the huge mansion.

I shrugged. "I guess so."

"This is the house of Oli Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon," Alan said, closing the backdoor and making his way over to the answering machine.

"Isn't that a line from Pirates of the Caribbean?" I was a huge movie fan, especially for anything with Johnny Depp. I memorized practically every line from every one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Mike thought I was absolutely insane.

Alan ignored me and started listening to the messages.

"Alan, if you're fucking around in my house again, I'm going to fucking murder you. Anyways, I'm in Sheffield with Hannah but we're coming back on Saturday. Feel free to eat whatever just don't have sex in my bed again. That's what the fucking guest bedroom is for," the message said.

Alan chuckled as he stopped the message. "Bring Me The Horizon is a band. I thought you said you're fiance was in a band. Shouldn't you know these things?"

"I'm more of a Lana Del Rey girl," I said with a shrug.

Alan's eyes widened. "Ever heard of Of Mice & Men?" He asked.

"That's a good book."

"It's also the band I'm in, loser. If we're going to be together, there's a few things you have to know." He grabbed my hand and led me downstairs where there was a huge recording studio. Guitars, basses and other instruments lined the walls. Alan led me to the corner where a Mac computer was.

He opened iTunes and began blasting a song called The Depths by Of Mice & Men. At least that's what it said on the screen.

We were sitting in the basement, listening to all sorts of music when I heard the basement door open and a pair of footsteps ran down the stairs. I swear I had a heart attack in that second.

"Glad you see you're alive," Alan said, pausing Blessed With a Curse by Bring Me The Horizon.

The man that came downstairs looked at me and sighed. "Please tell me you didn't have sex in my bed."

I practically gagged at that sentence.

Alan just laughed. "No, this is just a friend from high school. Oli, this is Blake. Blake, this is Oliver Sykes... the ultimate douche and lead singer of Bring Me The Horizon. Turns out she was Mike Fuentes' fiance."

"What do you mean 'was'?" Oli asked.

"He died," I murmured.

"Goddammit," Oli mumbled under his breath. "Did you hear Austin was killed by those things too?"

Alan sighed. "Don't remind me. You bring Hannah with you?"

"Let's not talk about it. I heard from my jet pilot that there weren't any bugs in New York. It's a long drive, but there's a Bring Me The Horizon tour bus just down the road. Completed with bunks, food and alcohol."

"What are we sitting here for?"

"So... who's Hannah?" I asked Oli. It was just the two of us sitting on the couch of the tour bus because Alan was driving. I thought it was important for me to know considering Oli gave me all of her clothes that were left here.

"She was my girlfriend. She died about a week ago. Sorry about Mike, he was a good lad," Oli explained, his voice sounding extremely depressed.

"I feel so out of the loop about everything. The only friends of Mike's I knew were the ones from San Diego and a couple members of All Time Low. I guess I should've listened to all of those bands when I had the chance." I had so many regrets going into this stupid apocalypse.

"Yeah, then maybe you wouldn't have chosen Alan to go travelling with," Oli replied, teasingly.

"Says the dude with the annoying British accent!" Alan yelled from the drivers seat.

"He's literally the biggest drama queen I know."

"Oh trust me... I know."

_______

"Look who it is. You finish my math homework yet, Blakey-poo?" Alan asked, giving me a devious smirk as I tried passing him in the hallway. He grabbed my arm and forced me to look at him.

"I... I can't do your homework," I stammered. My glasses were falling and I was beginning to shake. I reached up and pushed my glasses back onto the bridge of my nose.

I looked around to see that the hallway was completely cleared out. It was lunchtime, so everyone was either at home or in the cafeteria.

Alan pinned me against a random locker, his hot breath on my neck, travelling up to my ear. "It better be done by tomorrow morning, or else you're not going to like the consequences," he whispered, sending shivers down my spine.

I finished his homework within the hour.

_______

"Blake, what the hell?" I was suddenly woken up by Alan shaking me. "You were fucking screaming. Saying shit about needing Mike. You were practically crying, saying that 'he should've been there for you,'" he explained, looking at me with concerned eyes. Within a split second, his expression changed. "Look, I know you're fucking horny, but please just try to keep your mouth shut."

He suddenly closed the curtain to my bunk, not letting me respond. I tried to hold back my tears. I'd been having these night terrors ever since Mike passed. I would wake up not being able to breathe because I would have nightmares about high school and how the space beside me was cold and empty. Waking up without Mike was something I hated more than anything.

"Guys... you might want to see this," I heard from the front of the bus.

I got out of my bunk and made my way to the front. It didn't take too long to see what Oli was looking at. On the front window of the bus was about twenty of those bugs, trying to eat their way through the windshield.

"How the hell are we going to get through this one?" Alan murmured.
