Elizabeth's POV
I lay in the rubble watching them, they were so far but she could hear them so perfectly. It hadn't taken long to realise they were first earth army. One had a gun, another the five rounds of ammunition, the third the binoculars, the three boys with them fetched carried, kept look out and went out scrounging for food. They were careful to have no smoke from a fire and do nothing to call attention to themselves. In the distance was the cradle of filth the coven hive home, the fortress of debauchery and sin towering above them.
"There she is regular as clockwork." said the one laying on his stomach watching through the battered binoculars. He swapped with one of the boys.
"She looks just like them. How do you know it's her?" said the boy looking.
"You can just make out the silver collar, if you look long enough it glints. Also which vampire would go out to watch the sun set? It has to be her" said the man they called Di on the ground.
"You think it's her then? Silver neck her self" said one of the boys.
Think it? I could smell it.
"Sure as eggs is eggs. That's silver neck her self. "
Elizabeth had heard the rumors of silver neck. The story was she was a princess from the Barren lands given as a gift to seal a peace contract. They said she was kept in an iron cage as the Duke's personal sex slave. Well I could tell them now, she was gone, she was surely one of them now, one of the sired, beyond hope or dream of redemption.
"I'll tell yeah something for nothing. I wouldn't give anything for my daughter, not for all the treaties in the southern rim" said one of the nine.
"We should rescue her" said the boy.
"So you think we, should attack a coven full of vampires? How would you get across the lake ? under the water there are many wrecks left to sink ships. Once there how would you get in... no it's nonsense boy" said the man looking back.
I got down and showed my self.
"You might do with my help" I said.
Everyone turned, the gun was pulled at me, eveyone froze. There was a pause and I stood firm.
"Elizabeth?" said one of them.
