Persistency

And every time she pushes you away still hurts?
Does she still see you and run the other way
When you hear your friends talk about how she kissed them and not you do you still
Chase her
Do you still crave her
After all this time

Does she still yell at you when you make her blush
And does she still proclaim her hatred for you
When you hold her does she still pathetically fight it
Only to give in
With a weak insult
On the tip of her lips

Does she still cry in the bathroom for breaking your heart
Does she still act it doesn't matter when
It bloody does
Do you still let her back into your heart
In the middle of the night when it's raining
So much
You think she might
Disintegrate
Into nothing
Back to loneliness

Do you still tell yourself you're the only one who loves her
In that so special way
And for so much time
That not even Cupid himself can grasp
Do you really?
I ask

Yes

Some things never change
