Chapter 1- I Hate It

Shane's POV

Lisa: Shane! Get the f*ck up! Now!

I immediately sit up.

Shane: I'm coming Lisa.

I quickly run to the living room where Lisa was standing. Pissed off. My phone in her hand.

Shane: Hey ba-

Lisa: Shut the hell up!

I winced and took a step back. She charged forward. She gripped my arm and slammed me against the wall. I cringed. My back was just starting to feel better...

Lisa: What the f*ck is this?!

She shoves my phone into my face.

All it showed was texts to Joey, Tyler, and Sawyer. They were my best friends.

Shane: What's the big deal?

Lisa: What's the big deal? What's the big deal?!

I closed my eyes as I waited for her to hit me. I felt sharp pains on my cheeks. Then I felt my own tears roll down them.

Lisa: Stop hanging out with them! You know what?! Stop talking to them! If I see anymore conversations with them on your phone, you will pay!

She shoved me and I fell to the floor. She kicked me one last time before running off and slamming a few doors.

I rolled over and stared at the ceiling. I must've lied there for quite some time because Lisa face hovered over me.

Lisa: Babe?

Her expression was much softer. I closed my eyes. I don't like this.

First she gets angry.

Then she hits me.

Then she feels sorry and cares for me.

I hate it.

I absolutely hate it.

Lisa: I'm sorry Shane. I got upset. I love you.

She gave me a kiss. Then she helped me stand up and laid me on the couch.

Lisa: I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you.

Empty promises. She always finds a reason to get mad at me.

She walks off to the kitchen and comes back with ice packs. She places two on my cheeks. Then one on my stomach. I winced again.

Lisa: You'll feel better in no time.

She pushes my hair around them kisses my forehead.

Lisa: I love you.

Then she goes to our bedroom. I sigh and finally relax. I hear my phone ring. I quickly answer without checking who it is.

Joey: Hey Shane!

Shane: Oh. Hey Joey...

Joey: Shane? Are you ok?

Shane: Yeah, I'm fine...

Joey: Are you sure? Should I come over?

Shane: No! I mean... I'm busy. Maybe another time.

Joey: Alright. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Shane: Bye.

I hung up. I toss my phone onto the couch next to me. I take a deep breath and winced.

I really hate this...
